just wondering if I am just in a que to receive it or if I should make a call, sounds like the phones have very long waits so Im hoping someone here has experience.

We sail April 19th, paid in full months ago, but did apply for a price drop a couple weeks ago.

I did find the statement Carnival sent about Cancellation and OBC and uploaded it. sorry it may be difficult to read. About OBC it basically states if you continue to sail with them they automatically apply OBC to your sign and sail.

I have 3 cruises scheduled between now and the end of May and still have not received an email. One of my cruises is in a week.

I am not concerned about it though because they said the OBC was automatic upon boarding.

supposed to sail 4/18/20 out of Galveston...no email about the OBC yet...unsure we can go as my husbands work has now issued an automatic 2 week quarantine upon return if we go on the cruise. (UGH!!).  Since it looks like we will have until 3/31 to make a decision, I will wait until the last minute in hopes things get better!  By then, the cruise ship may be the safest place with all the pre-board screening and disinfecting being done.

I saw that we would not get any confirmation email or letter about the extra OBC for the cruises thru May. It would appear once onboard. I am relatively confident about the OBC. Now if you have any form of casino freeplay, you should bring proof. The casino has not been consistent with follow through as of late.

You do not need the e-mail, as long as your cruise is scheduled before May 31, 2020 the new cancellation policy applies. If you want to cancel you can do via phone if you can get through or do it online.

As soon as I heard about the new policy late last Thursday I went online, found the cruise I wanted to move to and put two cabins on hold. On Friday I called to cancel and book the cruise I had put on hold. I am not sure when the e-mail came through, sometime over the weekend.

We were to sail April 25th & received ours this past Sunday morning.  Would have thought all of them had gone out by now.

Did you book direct or through travel agent? My wife and I think the people who are not receiving letters may have booked through a TA.

I sail in September and got the email as well that states:

Guests who choose to keep their booking, as currently scheduled, for departures June through September, 2020, will receive the following onboard credit (OBC) amount:

  • US$50, per cabin, for 2 – 5 day sailings
  • US$100, per cabin, for 6 day sailings and longer

No plans to cancel at this time.... September is far enough off it should not be a problem. (I hope).
