Greetings Military Cruisers,

My husband is active duty military and we are scheduled to cruise on NCL for a transatlantic cruise mid-April going to Portugal, Spain, France and Italy.  New rules handed down from the DOD suspend travel for us for 60 days to countries with a COVID level 3 designation.  We have trip insurance the Travel Guard.  With the high call volume, it is almost impossible to get through though.

Any advice on how to proceed?  What will the insurance company need as proof?

I would imagine that the DOD order that was shared would suffice, if not maybe something on command letterhead stating his leave is being cancelled and the reason why. try tweeting or using a "contact us" feature on their website?

Italy just extended its shutdown. Odds are that the cruise will be cancelled. Since you have up until 48 hours before the cruise to cancel, I would wait out to see if NCL cancels first.
