P&O Cruisers - What are things like where YOU are?

Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house,
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse,
Do you know why? Because none of us were allowed out,
Looked out into the street and no Christmas decorations about,

Looked out of the window and what did I see ?
A spread out group of six people in two sets of three,
What tier is it today, Tier 4 or Tier 3?
A new strain of Covid coming to a town near me !

It was then that Santa  slid down our chimney pot
Cause let's face it I'm all alone and  my friends can't visit  a lot,
Santa finally came and what did he bring ?
A sack full of vaccines, some toilet paper, lettuce  and things,

He came prepared with extra hand wash in his stocking,
because he knew that our friend Boris was having  a lock in,
We sat and we cheered opening presents all night!
As we talked and reminisced about this year's cancelled cruises and flights,

Up on the roof, his red nosed reindeer was seated,
keeping their distance by approximately 2 metres,

Soon it became time, for Santa Claus to go,
he could not stay  under new rules on Tier 4,he had to go

he flew up the  chimney and  I said, "When will you be back?"

He replied 'Hopefully in a year's time... that's  providing no one eats  bat !":classic_unsure:

Wishing everyone on here a Merry Christmas.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable day, as much as they can, under the present circumstances!

Not if it is, say, a chicken burger bought in a take away food outlet, or a chicken balti in an Indian restaurant. The size of the catering market for chicken is enormous, with very little legislation relating to point of origin.

Are you suggesting that importers have been bringing in produce that does not conform to EU standards  surely that would have been illegal.

I'm not sure what's happening with Brexit..

I'm not really sure what's happening with Corona...

It's Christmas Eve, I'm eating and drinking too much for the next few days..

I will worry about the rest when this important stuff is finished... 😊

Merry Christmas everyone...

Cor, just had a dover sole, half a bottle of Sancerre and two locally made mince pies with ice cream.  Stuffed of South Devon.

Baked salmon, Hasselback potatoes and asparagus. Bottle of Moscato and lemon souffle. Content of South Yorkshire😉

Merry Christmas Jean.

Ha ha, Graham and Avril.   Only the two of us, but hey, we can enjoy.  Just called my friend, Shirley, she of the wonderful voice who sang in the sixties and we met on a cruise.  She's on her own and yesterday she was really down, but today, thanks to South Devon Counselling 🤣 is feeling much better, has poured a glass of Merlot and will survive.

Well done Jean, we need to keep an eye on others, these are difficult times.

Anyway off to watch a former Top Gear special, then Gordon Gino Fred going to Lapland. A lads' afternoon, but I love both despite some of the language.

Not a Top Gear fan, it’s gone too silly for me but I love Gordon, Gino and Fred! Watched the Lapland one yesterday, some gorgeous scenery!

Hubby and I have now spent a week in Lapland 8 times in February.  We just love the place and it looks more magical than on their shots. Really missing not being able to go again. Made me shed a tear today watching it ... many happy memories ...... Have a great Christmas Sue. X

And a Merry Christmas to everyone here from me. It’s going to be very odd and quiet here tomorrow with just the two of us! We will probably eat and drink too much! I keep thinking tomorrow is a Sunday. 🥳🥂🎉  🎁

Just had a message that our little grandson insisted on taking Rudolph’s carrot to bed with him 😃😱

Merry Christmas to you too Presto. I was thinking when we went on Oceana we saw Gino! He just stood on stage on his own and talked non stop for about 45 minutes 😆
