We stayed at the Hale Koa this July. Unfortunately no fireworks from Hilton Hawaiian Village on the 4th of July due to COVID. 😩 I can tell you Waikiki was mobbed. We ate at the Hale Koa almost every night because if you didn’t make reservations weeks in advance, you couldn’t get into a lot of restaurants. If you tried to make dinner reservations at the Hale Koa, they told you they were booked. But if you showed up, they would get you in as a guest of the hotel. Hopefully things will get better later.
