"What I MIss Most" (only 2 allowed, my rules)

Recommended Posts

The Captain's noon message - it means we are at sea, going to the next somewhere

When Louis sings (or Mark) means the end of a wonderful day ashore, and on to the next adventure

I was waiting for people to include Pillow Chocolates, Dollies in the Waste Basket, Unlimited Caviar, or Foie Gras.

Oh, I guess you can't miss what you haven't had for awhile.  😁

Keith

1.  Sitting down to lunch the first day and knowing that I will have a wonderful and relaxing experience.

2.  The crew and the wonderful life stories they have.

Nancy!

Yes, my sentiments exactly!

1. The crew!

2. Cruising with dear friends— Nancy and Larry and so many others too numerous to mention!

1. The crew. So many familiar faces and friendly smiles welcoming us home!

2. Walking up the gangway on embarkation, Jan 6 this year in Miami for our very first full WC being at the top of that list!! We were like little kids on Christmas Eve!!!

I miss hearing Louis as we pull away from shore and I miss everything every single person on this thread has mentioned.

Well, some repeats...

  • Getting off the gangway on embarkation day and getting welcomed aboard with a tray of something sparkling
  • Embarkation lunch, which for us is a cheeseburger and a margarita—that definitely signals a clean break from reality and the beginning of a cruise

Dancing the evening away in the Starlite with the Ambassador Hosts to the music of the Crystal Quartet (preferably a foxtrot).
Followed (literally) by a nightcap in the Avenue listening to the ever entertaining Mark Farris.

Going out...anywhere.

I think a lot of us can identify with that sentiment!! One week of mandatory self-isolation down, and one week to go. Then we "graduate" to "physical/social distancing", but at least then we can do our own grocery shopping!🙂

Official Rules Change:

In "Things I Miss Most": Well crafted duplicates are allowed. A sub category has been added:" Little Things I Miss"

I'll start.

I miss dressing up. I miss staying up late.

  • a particular bread available only at the Gala Buffet. I'm reluctant to mention exactly what it is b/c there's a very limited amount made 😉
  • mid-afternoon fruit plate from Trident with a side of potato chips

I'll play! Bending the rules just a little bit because what I love about cruising in general and cruising with Crystal are two slightly different things.

What I miss most about cruising:

1. The magic of being at sea.

2. Waking up and exploring a different destination every day (except for relaxing sea days!).

What I miss most about Crystal:

1. The genuine hospitality of the crew and how they make us feel like their home is our home while on board.

2. The relaxed, elegant vibe matched with appropriate live music options at almost all hours of the day and evening!

How about a reason to get dress beyond gym clothes to walk.

Little things...

  • A wonderful environment on board—refined atmosphere, choice of dining, music, dancing, etc.
  • A reason to dress up for dinner
