Thanks for the Daily; I'm really happy to see that the folks on the Maasdam will be able to disembark in San Diego.  It must be a terrible logistical problem for the powers that be!

Now you've got me trying to figure out how I'm going to incorporate chocolate covered raisins into my diner menu tonight! 🤣

Smooth Sailing!    🙂🙂🙂

Thank you for today’s report, Rich!

I really appreciate you keeping up with this!

If the raisins are embedded in a cube of chocolate, I am all in.

Rich:  Thanks for the report.  Chocolate make me sneeze!  I am a type 2 Diabetic, so I have to be careful with Chocolate.  Maybe I had too much when I was young.

We love DARK covered chocolate raisins.  The only place we can get them is Aldo's and they have been out of them for weeks.

Some excitement with the Rotterdam headed to meet with Zaandam.  I just read Captain Albert's blog, who is conveniently aboard Rotterdam.  Hope the additional medical efforts help.

Latest blog entry from HAL

UPDATE March 24 (11:20am PT/2:20pm ET): As all ports along Zaandam’s route are closed to cruise ships, Holland America Line has deployed Rotterdam to rendezvous with Zaandam and provide extra supplies, staff, COVID-19 test kits and other support as needed. Carrying 611 crew and no guests, Rotterdam departed Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, at 3 p.m. local time on March 22 and the current schedule is for the two ships to meet by the evening of March 26 off the coast of Panama.

Our intention is to proceed to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, for arrival on March 30, however plans are still being finalized. Alternative options also are being developed. No one has been off the ship since March 14 in Punta Arenas, Chile.

Complimentary telephone counseling services from our care partner, Empathia, have been made available to guests and crew if they would like extra support during this time. For those with family members on board, they can call the following numbers for information: 1-877-425-2231 or 1-206-626-7398

Thanks for letting us know what’s happening with the ships, Rich 🙂

These are trying times for sure and the San Diego disembarkation is good news indeed.

No chocolate covered raisins here to be found, but I’ll enjoy them in my mind.

Glad the Rotterdam is on it’s way to help the Zaandam.

according to several sources, Royal Caribbean extended their pause today for another 30 days.

Royal Caribbean Cruises became the first line to announce that they would be extending the already-in-place suspension of cruises.

According to an announcement made Tuesday, the earliest their ships will welcome back guests is now May 12.
