Is Seabourn partner, Thomas Keller, the hero we didn’t know we needed?

Recommended Posts

This is an interesting case to follow.  There ARE legal cases (relating to an ammonia spill of all things) which the lawyers for Thomas Keller will be using. At the same time, there was  insurance available for purchase to guard against risk for infectious diseases.  Most businesses did not purchase this insurance--and the insurance companies will use this fact in the court cases.  The issue involves the fact that most of these insurance policies are a form of property insurance and assumed that a fire, a flood, an earthquake, or some other disaster would be the cause of loss.  Personally, I wish Thomas Keller and others well as they battle the insurance companies.  There is such a thing as "all risk" insurance policies--and even those policies supposedly exclude infectious diseases.  The litigation will be interesting and crucial for both businesses and insurance companies.
