Off of Cocoa Beach many of the cruise ships usually using Port Canaveral due to the Port being closed have been parked about one mile off shore.  They rotate a day into the port to pick up supplies for the crew.     At night they light themselves up.

I believe it will be the only time that we Will see three Disney and 4 Carnival Ships together offshore.

Why even risk getting quarantined  on a ship or some foreign country .  Cruise ships are very high risk because of so many people in a small area  .Certainly any senior  must consider their own personal extra risk factors with cruise ships

These are great pics.  Thanks for the fun!

This picture was from our Xmas - New Years cruise in 2018 -2019.  Loved the comparison in size of ships.  We were on the Pacific Princess on the right.  The left (bigger ship) was the P&O Britannia.

The steak was excellent

And cooked the way that I like it , but I don't care for the goose liver on top of it ! 😛

Dessert was nice and all of the wine had kicked in , making for an enjoyable experience .

It's like a mini version of the Chef's Table - at half the price . 🙂 😄

This was the absolute  highlight of all my meanderings around.

Curious...what was your itinerary for this cruise?  Did you do a land tour?  If so, was it before cruise, after cruise?  Would love to see Machu Pichu someday!!

We were on the Emerald Princess, Dec. of 2017,  Los Angeles to Santiago (San Antonio).  We had two days in Lima and many cruisers did the excursion to MP through Princess.  We ended up staying one night in Chile and  then  flew to Lima where we rented an apartment.  My SO has mobility issues so he stayed in Lima and  I booked my airline ticket,   hotel and excursion to MP.   Incredible experience and saved some money in the long run.  I would go back in a heartbeat.

Considering the state of our planet I'm certainly glad we did all the traveling in the past.  Our future is uncertain as of now.

Here 's a photo on the flight from Lima to Cusco.

Not much happening here, and I hope it's OK to add a little story.

The woman on the left spoke only French, and I don't speak French.

I was looking to buy a pearl mounted with a bale for my charm bracelet while in port Tahiti.

A gentleman shopper acted as translator for me, and at the end of the exchange, I had the pearl shown below.

The amazing thing about the story...she insisted on giving it to me.  She just would not take a penny.

She brought me to tears, and then she was in tears too.

So sweet, so generous, so kind.  It's always be one of my most treasured memories from our travel adventures.

Joanie

PS-we did make a purchase in her store.
