Where is your evidence that Government Departments are not being investigated?

I agree with you, the other morning at the usual press conference Commissioner Fuller said that the investigation would also look at the Health Commission, Port Authorities and other agencies, not just Carnival - Princess cruises.  This is a wide ranging investigation being led by some of the best detectives in Australia, they did not get their badges out of a cornflake packet.

Many of the Australian Border Force people would be 'frustrated coppers' not good enough to make the grade in the real police, akin to Security Officers and Prison Officers.  Trust me I have seen it all.

The communications between the ship and government departments (NSW Health and Border Force) will have to be examined. However, we don't know if communications within between Government Departments and between the Minister and his staff will be examined. To be fair, they should be if communications between the Captain of the Ruby and his staff are being examined.

With the high profile nature of this investigation, I am sure the Police Commissioner has appointed experienced investigators. With it being a Police investigation, I assume they would not have their hands tied and are able to investigate everything relevant.

A few warrants and subpoenas would be required for the NSWP Investigators to get at the documents from the ship, cruise line, Border Force, Health Commission Port Authorities etc leading to the Premiers Office and/or the Prime Minister's Office.  Let us just establish a Royal Commission into the fiasco with all its powers.

Of course they would not be tied down and the NSWP are oversighted by ICAC and the Police Integrity Commission, many of their staff are drawn from AFP, Interstate and overseas Police Forces.

I went for a beach walk this morning and being a nice day here in Adelaide it was busy. I passed many people. On three separate occasions I heard people discussing the three lives lost here on SA and each time there was quite some angst when Ruby Princess was mentioned as being THAT ship. One couple clearly knew a well known Adelaide TA very well, he's quite a media fiend down here. And said they had been devastated. Given the high number of SA cruisers testing positive, and now a death, it's quite possible that this TA had taken a large group onboard and as they all mix socially onboard as a group, that may explain the over representative numbers from SA.

OK Strike Force BAST. Who gave it the name Bast I do not know, bit like the cyclones, but I am glad they did not add the letters ard to Bast, bit OTT, but perhaps appropriate !!   But probably the name came from within the group as often happens.  Strike Forces are formed to investigate major incidents.  Stricke Force BAST consists of 30 New South Wales Police Detectives drawn from: State Crime Squad, Counter Terrorism Unit, Special Tactics, Marine Area Command supported by Intelligence Analysts and other specialist officers.  All up it could have 100 plus personnel, perhaps 200, a lot of statements to be taken and evidence analysed before the ship takes off to Bermuda in a week or so. But I have no doubt the ship could be held at Port Kembla in police custody if needed by virtue of  a warrant.

Hope this helps.

That will be a very expensive investigation. When I googled Bast, it turns out she was a goddess of ancient Egyptian religion.

I see, perhaps there is a female religious Detective of Egyptian descent in the strike force. 🤐

Yes an expensive investigation, the Commish will be wanting a few big cheques written by the NSW Treasurer.  ScoMo may pitch in.   Ching Ching, where are the overtime and meal allowance forms.🤩

Ah so does that mean you have seen the widespread theory I have head from my sources directly with Princess???

The parents in law of a Federal MP on the ship whose wife has some sort of role in the Border Force Office, the MP is a major power broker for the PM (allegedly) and is connected to a large and influential religious group of which had members on the cruise in question.

Last night on the evening news the NSW Premier looked worried, she was stuttering and flustered like she knew what is going to come.

Also the question is what if all the authorities did admit the ship may have a possible case of the new virus that originated in china, what was their plan, send it away?

I may have misjudged you if you are now saying a Royal Commission is necessary, but seriously you have me mixed up with another person entirely.

As an honest comment from one cruise lover and enthusiast to another, all this police investigation with narrow scope is doing is turning the cruising public and cruise lovers against the police, they are losing confidence, we are seeing Lindy Chaimberlain all over again. That is not a look you want for the police.

I can say that with 100% certainty there definitely was the parents-in-law of a Federal MP on that ship. The family connection is 100% truthful. If there is any truth to the rest then that remains to be seen.
