"Routine" 😁 day in lockdown... how was yours?

Recommended Posts

My pictures don't compare to others, but it's all I've got. 😊  This was leaving Port Canaveral. There were people waving signs. There were sections that had more people, but those photos were even worst.

My breakfast. What you don't see here is the muffin and coffee Mike brought me while I was still in bed, otherwise I definitely eat more than just this.

Arrived at Coco Cay.

It was deserted and we got off the ship around 10:00 so we weren't early.

I opted not to go for global entry at this time because the closest GE office is in Denver and they are booked a year out. We’ll go for it some day..probably when we move.

Not sure if you looked into the Enrollment on Arrival option for Global Entry.  My DH did his appointment this way and it worked out really well.  He got Global Entry two years ago and the wait at that time was a few months but he was able to get it completed in less than a month because his conditional approval came back really quickly, right before he was going on an international business trip.  He was able to stop and get interviewed on his way back into the country.

Might work after one of your planned vacations. 🙂

this just happened 😭 my little heart is exploding. He proposed on the bridge in the Monet lily painting.

Wow.  That is cool.  Great spot!  I love the emotions pouring out in the pics.  They look like a happy couple.    Looks like we can look forward to some great wedding pictures.

Crystal, I hope you don't mind me posting some additional pictures, just to show how the gardens at Monet's house are such a romantic setting for a marriage proposal [we were fortunate to visit, long on DH's bucket list].

The kids decided to gift us a private driver from our Airbnb in Paris to Monet's gardens, door to door 😁

He had tickets ready for us, and we skipped the long lines (that was in 2012). We tipped him extra to visit Monet's grave too.

@BonTexasNY and GeorgeC...Bonnie and Jack, and George and Shelagh, please stay safe with Tropical Storm Nicholas  heading to Texas.  May all be well with you all.

We are in Dallas area so the most we ever get is a little rain, but thanks.

Thanks, Maryann,

What can I tell you... DH thinks ALL those pics are not up to His [I was going to add "majesty" 😉] 's standards.... but, I like them, and decided to post them anyway 😁

They say the best time to visit the gardens is May, when all the flowers are in full bloom. We were in September, almost to the day.

My wife’s surgery that was cancelled because the surgeon tested positive for Covid has been re-scheduled for this Friday.Due to my wife’s blood disorder it is quite scary to me.The reason why she chose to wait for this doctor to fully recover is because he is the only one who said he wanted to confer with her Hematologist before the procedure which is 2 1/2 hours.

My wife said she is going to tell the surgeon that if things do not go well that he has to adopt me.It is her sense of humor .

My youngest daughter will go with her and my other daughter will be here with me.

Prayers for her and you Lenny🙏

Yes, it was awful eating in that room.

J Jim used Wet and Forget on the roof of the attached apartment this morning.  There has been moss on the roof from the many trees surrounding our house.  We had a double-tree removed in June;  I sure hope we don't have the moss problem any longer.

I’ve used wet and forget for moss with some luck. Hopefully you have more than us.

How well did it work, Andrew?  What did you use it on?

I used Chemical Guys Honeydo Snow Foam with the Tool Daily Foam Cannon. The cannon was cheaper than the soap.

After you move , it should be good.  Our local CBP is at Port of Palm Beach, and we had no problem with appointments.  You would hope you  have the same experience in Tampa (where ever they do it) after you move.

You will get your stamina back. First day is always tiring.

The first day is tiring. I can remember on several occasions on the first night thinking from being so over tired that this is going to be my last cruise. Then after a good night sleep I wake up to the first sunrise at sea and it's all good again.

Maryann, thank you so much for thinking of our well being with wishes for our safety,

As GeorgeC replied we're all in the Dallas area, far from the coast.

We just have to worry about tornadoes!!  🤠

So how does it feel to be home?     I imagine sad but happy.

Disregard - I just saw your other post.   I'm playing catch up as I have had a busy Monday at work.   Just finally taking a break to eat lunch (diner) liner - whatever is but boy was I hungry and getting a headache from too much caffeine today.

Usually it's a headache from caffeine withdrawl
