The TA deserves at least a latte a day 😂.  It was the first time I noticed the $300 limit mentioned and I am noticing the 5% paid by some but not all.  No biggie.

You might want to think twice about moving. Deck 8 has Central Park. 
Deck 11 just has cabins. 
There’s a wall across from your door, instead of people coming snd going, so it’s quiet. Walk forward or aft to the elevators, and you’re in Central Park!

Looks unlikely they will change it but we let C&A know if they had a GS come available on 8 then move our friends but we do not want to move.

I just checked pricing for Liberty out of Galveston, Feb. 2022.  I didn't think we would cruise until Friends of Bella but these rates popped out at us!   $1.060 for PR cabin for two, not p/p. Balcony $1,350 for 2 which includes Emerald balcony discount.  Doesn't say anything about refundable deposit which would be a deal breaker for us.  We do not want a future cruise credit if we have to cancel.  Credit on our card would work best.  I think I might have to talk to my TA!

 

I also follow you tube"s Aboard with Jord, the pro skater now on Adventure,  I had no idea it was going in dry dock  and then coming to Galveston for 4-5 night cruises for a short while.  Interesting,

I watched Jordan's video too and was surprised to hear about the dry dock. I curious as to what all will be done?

RCI will for a fee offer COVID testing at Port on future sailings.

Must pre register in advance.

Takes approx one hour turn over time.

 

You have to have had the vaccinations.

 

No change on criteria for children.

 

This is great news for those who have trouble getting the test scheduled.

I agree. It's good RCI is giving folks a choice, but I would prefer to hear the bad news of a positive test close to home rather than after a plane ride and a hotel stay possibly affecting others around me.  Too stressful waiting up to the last minute to find out if we're safe to board the ship.

Some of the full Amps didn't take that long. Given her early Nov return to sailing, I can't see the dry dock being more than about 2 weeks.

That was one of the problems we also had was the crew constantly asking if we needed anything else. It became annoying. I have been booking more cruises because I really like it with the less capacity, but it does have its drawbacks. Right now I just want to be on a ship and I don’t care where it goes. 🥂 🛳

Her favorite place is on Mike’s lap. Chest also works for her as long as she is with him. She practically never leaves his side. 😻 Me, I’m the one that found her in bad shape at a Publix parking lot and the only time she pays any attention to me is when Mike is gone. I’m chopped liver when he is home.😸

He has allergies to the cats and this sort of helps keep her away from his face.

I received the email with this info. It did say there would be limited tests.

Just listened to Jordan's blog again.  She stated at the beginning that there wouldn't be guests on board for one month and at the end, she said that there wouldn't be passengers on board for the next 1-1/2 months.  More than that I don't know.  How long do dry docks usually take?

If it is, go for it. The best trips are those which didn't involve a lot of planning to begin with 😉

I did a dummy booking for a cruise I have booked in January. RCI wants $602 for a refundable deposit. It was no where near that when I originally booked.

 

It looks like RCI is really tying to discourage people from booking refundable.

Dense urbanic living -- we were invited to friends to dine in their "almost" sukkah [A sukkah is a temporary hut constructed for use during the week-long Jewish festival of Sukkot. It is topped with branches and often well decorated with autumnal, harvest, etc.].

Not so long time ago, the difference in price between ref and non-ref was a mere 150$ pp.

 

I never even considered non-ref, and my default at my TA's site is automatically set on ref.

I think the 5% fee has to do with your casino status.  If you have no status or are Choice (lowest level), you pay the 5% fee.  If you're Prime or higher, no fee.  Wouldn't surprise me though if some ships are just different than others.  

 

I got $200 in chips at a Craps table from my room account on the second night.  It took a minute and the dealer said that the pit boss was checking my status to see if I had to pay 5% or not (I did).  At the time, my OBC had not been added and I was given regular chips.  I read somewhere in the pile of paper that we received, that getting chips from your account meant getting "promotional" chips that couldn't be cashed in.  You must play the promotion chips and receive regular chips back.  I did not get promotional chips but it could be because I had no OBC at the time. 

 

If you play table games and are willing to make $10-20+ bets, I'd guess that you could take out $500 or more and play it all before turning it into cash.  You obviously risk losing.  I don't think the casino would turn down your money, whether it's cash or OBC, so long as you play.  I'm not sure though.  As has been said here many times, Royal is consistently inconsistent.

We’re on our way home from Disney. I hope my two favorite threads are active today because I’ve got lots of time to kill riding in this car! 
we had a great trip, crowds in the parks were some of the lowest we’ve seen in years.

@bobmaclibertyI really enjoyed your cruise summary, thanks for sharing your thoughts. 

Being on vacay in FL makes us really want to cruise!  We just have too much going on the rest of this year.  Disney again 11/6-13 with the whole family this time, 12 of us altogether. DH and I will need some R & R after that one!  We’re thinking of a couple of nights at a beachfront resort.  In the past we’ve stayed at Hammock Beach Resort in Palm Coast but were disappointed with it in May.  Maybe Hilton Head or Destin area.  Oldest DD also suggested the Omni on Amelia Island.  Her in laws have a house there and when DD & her family visit Amelia they always spend time at the resort.  
 

I’d appreciate any input from the Floridians here.

Celebrity has a much better deal for gamblers, you can prebuy chips or slots credit at a great rate for 50 dollars you get 55 in chips. We had 600 in OBC so I got 660 in chips. Plus non smoking casino.
