Royal Caribbean Cruisers -- How Are Things Where You Are? (was "Routine" 😁 day in lockdown... how was yours?)

It’s not easy to find a PCP.  I had one for almost 20 years who I loved; followed her to 3 different practices in RI.  Last April she moved out of state.  I was assigned to another Dr in the practice who is quite young, but fortunately I do like her. Who knows how long she’ll stick around.  DH has had the same issue - getting comfortable with someone and they leave/move.

Some of that is due to RI's horrible reimbursement rates by insurance companies.

We've always only had doctors, until moving here in NJ.  There is a doctor in the office....I've never met him in the 4 years we've been here.  I needed an Endocrinologist in Florida.. I made an appt with the doctor..you guessed it!  A Nurse Practitioner.  I did see the doctor walk by...same as in dermatologist office, another Nurse Practitioner.  It's not easy, as a new patient, it seems, to actually get a doctor these days.😉

Same for me.  I have been going to the same practice for about 10 yrs, I have never met the doctor.  See him walk by but I always get the NP, which I'm fine with as I really like her and "knock on wood" I dont have any medical issues.

I have a little black compass book where I do the same and abbreviate the many different sites, sometimes to the point I cannot recognize my own abbreviation for sites I don't use too often.

We change our passwords for anything banking every 4 to 6 weeks and we use a VPN along with two step sign in for a lot of accounts.

Eric was a victim of Identity theft earlier this year and I do not believe it was anything we were doing wrong, I don't think we were hacked in any way.    IMO, hackers probably got his info from one of the many businesses that had our personal information.     You just never know.

I was a victim of identity theft twice. The first time it was the internet and the second time banking.

Find a new doctor why? Some people should keep their opinions to themselves. If she has a doctor she is comfortable with then that is what matters.

That was my feeling as well.  I'm sure the doctor was doing everything to protect himself and his patients. Almost sounds like they were blaming the surgeon for getting sick.  Do they expect doctors to wear masks 24/7?

They should have keep their opinion to themselves, Lenny and his DH certainly have enough stress to deal with.

Sorry, quoting OB didn't work out too well.

I had a wonderful PCP .In June 2018 he was in a car accident and sustained damage to both hands. He retired at age 49.I asked everyone I know including medical specialists that I go to.A year later I went to one of the recommended doctors who I am still using .She is a very nice person but not comparable to the doctor who retired.

Well, the game went. 4-0 loss. Half the team come to win and the other half are as effective as the geese on the field. I can’t express what Owen said on the drive home but you can guess.

I did get some ospreys shots though. Something positive.

It's a mess and very time consuming but I think since we discovered it pretty quick we were able to put a stop to it.

They were signing up for various online accounts, buying i-phones, samsung appliances, tvs, the last one was they tried to get a personal loan thru webbank, etc etc

I cannot imagine going thru identity theft twice.

I wish I had my real camera today. The sunset tonight coming home from soccer was on point. IPhone just couldn’t handle it. Please accept these poor photo candidates that I present to you.

If half of the team put half as much in as Owen did, they’d be unstoppable.  Is what it is though. With the pandemic some of these kids have not been physically active for 16 months.

Yes, it is sad that most kids were not able to be physically active with sports, etc.  Their young and will get stronger and learn new skills with each game.

It is such a HUGE dilemma whether to "respect" the wishes of the sick one, or to share your anguish with the kids [in our case, no other family], or the immediate family.

HUGE responsibility too, in case the end is not good.

We were on the opposite end with my father in law many years ago.  Got a call he was in ICU after a successful quadruple bypass.  Threw DH into a tizzy that he hadn't known ahead of time. Fortunately all worked out, don't even want to think about what it would have been like it it hadn't.  No win situation.

Not as exciting day today, after the last few days.  Had to hang around home this morning, as the electrician came to swap out the service panel and get ready to run a cutoff switch to be ready for the new spa when it arrives.

Took our grandson for a nature hike this afternoon, and managed to log 11 miles for the day.

We did find a family of new ducks.

A few turtles.

And, a couple dragon flies.  ( for some reason, I really liked this picture)

He did manage to keep up with us.

Finished the day with a nice meal at BJ’s. (It was gone before I got pictures)
