Royal Caribbean Cruisers -- How Are Things Where You Are? (was "Routine" 😁 day in lockdown... how was yours?)

My TA(wife) was able to get us another $256 OBC.  Total now $1, 099.  That’s crazy!  I thought we booked at a reasonable price.  The price is low if anyone wants to join us in 12 days.

That's geat!A good TA is a must.

We made the mistake of booking with the Con tavel agent from up north in Ma. Cruise was booked in 2020 for a Jan 2021 sailing.  Lifted and shifted from 2021 to 2022. Had other FCCs applied. They are giving us a hard time dealing with price drops and best price guarantee. Our price has dropped $700. Royal will keep mum due to the TA owning the booking and the TA is not returning calls or emails.

You made a good move, Can't even imagine what 14 days on Grandeur would be like.

The sailings out of Barbados are port intensive, at a port 6 out of 7 days first leg.  Had some islands we havent been to yet.  2nd leg we liked because it had 2 full days in Aruba.  Were booked for JS that we had great prices for as I booked both of them the first 2 days when they released new itineraries last January.

And we were due for glass block for grandeur which would be cool to have since grandeur was our very first royal ship many years ago.

Just not worth all the hassles right now.

I don't want to spend any days on Grandeur.

I am going to agree with you. We were on the Grandeur last in Feb 2020. We intend to keep it that way.

Dani, great pictures, thanks for sharing.

Momof3girls, have fun, be safe.

Mactic, nice pool, enjoy when done.

Keksie, pretty kitty.

Yesterday we cancelled our August of 2022 cruise on Harmony, to book August of 2022 cruise on Allure since she will be back in Fll.  I could not believe the price difference, since Miss Allure has been sailing longer than the Harmony.  Saved close to $2000 on a CLS from our original booking last year and it is for us now an 8 day cruise on Allure.

Take care

Finally a Below Deck that doesn't put you to sleep.

I hope it's a good one.  I recorded last nights episode.   Sure hope Lexi is gone, she is nasty but of course Chef Matt eggs her on and doesnt know when to stop either.  I felt bad they were both ruining the crews day off.

The third unit is behind the one in the left.

This wedding was much more formal and religious than the one a few days before.

WooHoo!  That is Awesome!  Go to the casino as soon as they open and cash out that OBC.

Which sailing are you?

I have been seeing some great prices on cruises we were looking at this weekend.

That really stinks.  I think there is a way to tell royal that you want cruise transferred to you as owner by telling them TA isnt responding to your requests.

We cruised almost exclusively on the Grandeur for 4 straight years, several were 14 days.

I like the small ships like Grandeur, have sailed on her several times.  I think our longest was a 12 night cruise out of baltimore.

Our favorite size ship is Serenade/Jewel, I forget what class they call it but we always enjoy.  Especially like the true aft balconies or the large extended ones on deck 7.

We met wonderful people on our Grandeur cruises. We went every December ,4 years straight and had the same DJ twice who we really liked.

In 2017 we met and became instant friends with 2 couples and went on 2 later on cruises with them.We all had a cruise booked for 2020 which was cancelled.

We cruised on grandeur the first cruise after thanksgiving for a couple years too.   Always got me into the holiday spirit watching them decorate.  Our last time on her was sept 2019 that went to bermuda.   Then we went to Washington DC for a couple of days and met up with good friends that live outside of Arlington VA.  Was a great trip!

Thanks, Bonnie. All is well -- just a whole month of holidays, falling smack in the middle of the week, so I have to wonder -- is it Saturday, Sunday or what....

Add to those happy days two weddings in just one week, and it's quite a "whirlwind" for us.

We traveled pre-family wedding to a moshav [moshav is a type of Israeli town or settlement, in particular a type of cooperative agricultural community of individual farms. The moshav is similar to a kibbutz with an emphasis on community labour. ] a 10min drive from the wedding venue.

It was DIL's brilliant idea to rent a whole complex of "zimmers" [rooms] there, instead of the apartment we rented at the beginning, so that the grandkids could roam freely and enjoy the pool, only DIL, in laws and us.

I'm good to post only on my computer, on my Iphone I do only the "liking".

I've took some short movies, but me being photographically challenged, let's see what happens.

Below is DH piggy backing GK2  [video by DS2], and GK1+2 "taking a break" 😁

Glad all is well!  Looks like the moshav was a great choice.

So far my favorite ship was Rhapsody.  It was our first cruise out of Galveston and we got to know Derek Lewis in the Schooner Bar, worth the cruise just for his entertainment.  Everywhere we were we had wonderful sea views.  I miss that on larger ships even with a balcony cabin.  I always wanted to do a Radiance cruise but so far never got the chance.  Jack loves the RP so for him Voyager and Liberty are his cup of tea.

Smallest ship for us was Majesty, largest Liberty.  Not sure how I will feel on The Oasis on Friend's of Bella's cruise.  Everyone seems to love it yet so far I seem to prefer a smaller ship.  RP is great for people watching but for me I prefer people watching with the sea in the background.

We just love Derek Lewis he played for hours , have his cd and T-shirt (adult day care) , wish rccl would bring him back. Oasis is very interesting lots of people but lots of entertainment, we do allure end of November.

I like radiance class Serenade, Jewel  etc as the location of schooner bar, chops  Giovannis spa, etc almost anywhere you go you have a nice sea view.  So relaxing.  You definitely lose that on the large ships.  Too much indoor stuff with no views.  I feel like I'm at a mall with the royal promenade.
