We could go an hour early at noon since we’re in a suite. Dropped luggage at 11:25. On the ship at 11:50. No real lines to speak of, just about a 5 minute wait in a short queue that acts as a buffer in front of the health check area so they don’t get too many people there. Almost no one on the RP or the Boardwalk hand wash station in front of Park Cafe. It was only about half full at noon. You can get lost trying to find this place. Coincidentally, there is a University At Sea Medical Conference going on this week here on this cruise. The conference portion is on sea days. Topic is Family Medicine and some women’s health. DH is into women’s health (Ob/Gyn Doc) but he didn’t sign up for the conference. He didn’t want to spend precious sea days sitting in a conference room. He’d rather be flow riding. Tonight is Formal Night. Surprisingly, a lot of people dressed up for it. Dinner tonight: Fried Calamari, Escargot, Beef Tenderloin, Seafood Linguine, Duck a L’orange, Grand Marnier Soufflé. There is no visible sunset tonight due to very cloudy sky. Tonight’s Headliner Showtime starring The LAS VEGAS TENORS. Great show! Then it’s time to go to Two70 for the 70’s Disco Inferno Dance Party. It’s cheesy but always fun. In the Schooner Bar there is live piano music A Tribute to Elvis Presley with Kelly Goodrich. We are on our way up to Juneau, Alaska and because we are in open sea, there is a lot of rocking of the ship. Barf bags are on every stairway just in case. Some pan seared fresh sea scallops I picked up at local seafood market that gets alot of their fish from viking village, barnegat.
