No swimming pools for gym class while I was in school. I'm sure that was interesting.😜😁

We did. Learned the Eskimo Roll in a Kayak as well as scuba diving. Got certified in an abandoned lead mine.

It was 300' deep. I went to 60'

Crystal clear

A neighbor of mine once cautioned me NOT to try an Italian restaurant not far from us.  She went on and on about how awful the baked ziti was.  That was the same dish my friend and I had for lunch and we both thought it was delicious.

I have a friend here who says she is Italian but definitely does not look it.  She is always bashing the local Italian restaurants that many here, including us, find quite good.  Now I am not a foodie but have eaten in some fairly reputable Italian restaurants through the years, including in Italy.  I think it's just the fact that they don't make things like her parents did which she grew up on.  Hey, to each their own.

Italy has 60 million people

The USA has roughly 17 million residents of Italian descent.

Natural that there are different ways of cooking

We are getting Krispy Kreme on the Island finally.  Glazed crème filled are my favorite!

Mohegan Sun casino in CT has a Krispy Kreme bakery right by the entrance from the parking garage. It would always be our first stop when arriving and last stop when leaving. 🙂

Want to park in the other parking garage?  Well they have a small store by that entrance as well. And in the shopping court connecting the casino to the hotel and food courts.

There is no avoiding their donuts! lol.

That's what I really like about it. The only thing I don't like is the guide going through Apple TV. You can't jump forward days and you can't jump from one channel to another by putting in a channel number, you have to scroll up and down.

You may already know this but...you can customize the YouTube TV guide to your liking.  We created a version that has the 6 channels that we watch live most often (probably 80%+) at the very top, followed by the broadcast networks, then groupings of movies, sports, etc.  We don't bother to even list about half of the channels that we never watch.  It's still not as easy as jumping directly to a channel by entering a number, but it does make it easier to navigate the guide.  Most of what we watch has been recorded and is in the library, so we don't use the live guide a lot.

our son has a Netflix channel we can watch, but rarely do.

There are some really good original programming on Netflix that I think you might like. We tend to watch Netflix a lot.

The food in Italy is quite variable by region.

I have never watched Below Deck.
But I do kinda sorta have a connection (remote).
Captain Sandy bought a derelict building here in Jacksonville, planning to restore it as a restaurant.
It was originally Fire Station #4.
How she wound up in Jacksonville I don’t have a clue.
When she first bought the building, you guys weren’t talking about Below Deck, so her name meant nothing to me.
This time when I read the article, her name jumped right off the page!

The preservation types are fighting her on this. Better to let it crumble than turn it into something good.

Sandy is from Ft. Lauderdale but she wants to be an investor in the Jacksonville area where she thinks could be home to more super yachts. She and her partner Leah are supposed to build a house there also. I hope she will restore it. It looks like a cool building.

Yes I do and I have customized it a lot. I have my station that I worked for at top since I watch their local news. I grouped things like you did having my most favorite channels after the locals, national news, sports and others. I even deleted a bunch of channels I knew I would never watch. Funny thing is that the guide looks different through my Apple TV than the other tv's that have the Chromecast attached. The guide through the Chromecast looks better and has more info on it.

Duh, isn't that typical everywhere 🙄

I mentioned it as the person who didn't appreciate the local Italian restaurant may have been use to the style of a different region of Italy..... Duh😏
