Unsubscribed from Carnival

Once they have your addy (and if you've cruised with them they have it) they will continue to try to get a deposit and book their ships for any future cruise after this mess. I get them too. Everyday, in fact. I've found other sites that will beat them even with my Platinum status Carnival acknowledges.

Every single day I am spammed with an "offer"... it got way past ridiculous. Today I have had enough and unsubscribed.

Anyone else having this issue? Carnival is not alone here... NCL is spamming me too. They are next.

I'm not sure I would call it "spam". It's really no different than getting junk mail in your mail box, except that no paper is wasted. I get all kinds of junk email every day. I just click on where it says "unsubscribe", then delete it. A little annoying, but no big deal.

Come on, it's called Marketing. We receive a marketing email almost daily. Since the wife spends a "little" in the casino, she receives some awesome deals. Even before the shutdown of the cruise industry,  we both received at least two marketing emails each week.

But is SPAM once you unsubscribe.

Not knowing how you get your e-mails, is there a way to block Carnival?  We have AOL.  If I get spam, I can open it, then click on who sent it.  Right click on the sender and I can block  them from sending me any more.

I have been sailing since I was 4. I LOVE cruising. I just got off the Sunrise on 3/12. Wasn’t my favorite cruise and I was looking forward to booking another one this summer to make up for my disappointment. I desperately needed a re-do.  However after I’ve seen how Carnival and various cruise lines are dealing with refunding money for canceled cruises, it will be a very long time before I give any cruise line my hard earned money. My PVP emails me weekly with so called “deals” and platinum offers. It infuriates me that they are open enough to still be taking people’s money but they are too busy to refund money. They are trying to push people into FCC but there is no guarantee how they will fare after this additional 100 day ban on cruises in the US. Ticketmaster, the airlines and major hotel chains all have refunded my purchases and Carnival is stuck on stupid, just plain Hooked on Phonics.
