Surf Internet Package vs Unlimited Internet Package

Is the difference just the speed? If I buy one device can I use that on multiple devices by logging out (one device at a time)? Just how slow is the Surf package?  Is it good enough for just email, social media, news?

Yes. I use it all the time for email, social, even watching ESPN and such. You can only use one device at a time. My spouse and I have 4 devices and use all on a cruise on one.

The Surf package is fine.  It is a bit slower and you can't stream. Not all social media site work with the surf package Facebook is ok but you can't access Instagram.  DH is able to download the newspaper but it takes  about 20 minutes with the Surf package vs about 3-5 with the unlimited pkg.

I found Surf to be much slower than the one-speed internet package I purchase on Holland-America.  With Surf, I was able to email, use WhatsApp for texting, and WiFi calling worked for texting/calling my spouse on the ship, but I couldn't use Instagram. It was pretty disappointing.
