Shareholder OBC Benefit - Acct Statement Question

Recommended Posts

Thanks to these boards I found that shareholders receive a $100 OBC, at least for now still and subject to change. My question is specifically about my account statement. The statement has my entire portfolio on it. If I am sending it in for verification, I would like to have all of my other positions hidden or blacked out. Will RCL accept the statement that way?

Black out what you don't want them to see.

yes, I always black out all $$ amounts, account number ext.  Basically, all they see is the name/address, The Royal Stock symbol and number of share held.

Thanks. We have two cruises booked for this December and two in October 2021.
I suppose it’s too early to submit the statement for those. I’m just a bit cautious that this perk may disappear.

I applied by email in June 2019 for two cruises in April/May 2021, and received a response in 4 days.  🍷

I suspect things have changes a bit since then.

Not sure if that department at RCCL is even working since there is no cruising for a while and no reason to hurry and process OBC.  Easily that was a position that could be reassigned or furloughed.   I submitted 2 requests a few weeks ago  for  two cruises in October 2020 and I have not heard back.    In the past I've heard back in a few days.   I didn't  even get the automated response that was customary when the request is initially submitted.  Back in February, I summitted a request for a cruise in   May and it was processed immediately

I'll wait to resubmit my current request  until we are closer to sail date.

OP - they take reports with blacked out lines, but they didn't take the info cut and pasted. I speak from experience.

Still being processed very quickly a month ago, like you said things may have changed.

I submitted, via snail mail, a request earlier this month for a cruise for May 14, which has been canceled and never got a response, not that one is needed now. As others have noted just black out all info except line showing RCI shares and name and address. The request can be submitted at any time up to 2 or 3 weeks before sailing to allow for processing.

Hope to have the same results.  I submitted online and attached pdf proof of stock ownership for 6 cruises this morning.

New to this process as I only purchased my stock this past month.  Question. how do you get the document to prove this if you're using an on-line trading company?

Also, do you know if it's combinable with casino offerings?
Thanx

Even if it is an online brokerage, you should receive a monthly or quarterly statement showing ownership of the shares.

  • 2 weeks later...

Electronically submitted my brokerage statement on May 3rd for four cruises (two cruises in December 2020 and two in October 2021).

Received shareholder credit for all four yesterday. I’m surprised how quick it was.

Now, if we can only get things up and running!

How many shares do you need for the OBC?

Thank you
