I was told by Carnival that you just need to go to any bar when you board and they will activate the free drink offer, so no need to wait for the casino to open.

I used it on the Breeze last month, just like cheers package.  You can use it for any drink or specialty coffee, etc.  If any of you are sailing from Galveston you just have to remember you can’t use it until 7am the next morning, crazy Texas liquor law.

I used it on the Magic on Aug 7th sailing, once onboard went to the atrium bar and ordered my drink and told them I had the drink on us anywhere, and he looked it up on the register, and it showed it and no cost to me, so game on, drinks for the rest of the cruise anywhere.

Hmmm... Didn't realize it also covered specialty coffee...  That is some good intel right there!!

 

I personally am not a coffee drinker, but my travel partner on the Mardi Gras next month goes into some type of devastation when she doesn't get a mocha chocha bullcrap drink every morning... 😛  For her, it's like being hangry but needing a barista instead of food... 

As I'll have DOU everywhere and don't really drink much, I can just buy her her morning coffee... (#WinningPlan)

Thanks for the info!  I have the Drinks anywhere on the ship and am sailing on the Magic this Saturday the 4th.   First stop atrium bar!!  🙂

We usually set a gambling budget of about 2 grand, for a 7 day cruise, and receive these kinks of offers.

This is the misconception.

 

It's more about time.

Time + avg wager.

 

A player who plays 4 hours at .25 is worth more than a guy who comes in and drops $200 in 10 minutes

 

Couple hundred a day, played wisely while maximizing your time playing (actual playing time) will get your offers

Totally agree...  I usually close down the casino every night.  For my Saturday cruise I got a free Ocean Suite, $500.00 Fun Play and free drinks everywhere on the ship.

Our offer is an Elite cruise with drinks everywhere for both. Boarding the Mardi Gras on Saturday. This is our second Elite cruise. Our 1st didn't have all these same benefits. They must have enhanced the offerings. The transfers come in handy, especially for Port Canaveral, which is why we're staying at a hotel by the airport and letting Carnival pay for the longer and more expensive ride.

This 8-day Horizon, my planned roll is 4K + the $500 FP for $4500

I usually play more towards the front of the cruise, but always get in a couple hours a day.

 

In Las Vegas, AC or any casino, the real key is time.

 

If your bankroll won't last an hour, you're playing too high or shouldn't be playing at all.

 

$100+ a day, stretched out over an hour+ will get you offers.

 

THE REAL NUMBER is four (4) hours a day, especially in land casinos. That's actual play time, not "in the casino." Card in the machine actively playing for four hours.

 

Ship is usually 2-3 makes them happy, but more makes them happier

 

Do that and free cruises may come your way too

As others have mentioned, the theoretical daily loss is what drives the offer value. Coin-in = value to CCL. Churn churn churn.

 

In my case, I've (thus far) sailed twice. On the first one (pre-C19) my budget was $5k. I went through that and churned the winnings from that play several times, leaving the ship DOWN about $1500 bucks, but with about 25,000 in Carnival points earned. I had offers galore (when compared to what I see others mentioning). Still do. 

My second cruise was last month (well, end of July to beginning of August).  My budget for that one was $2k. Over the course of a 4 day cruise, I racked up just over 30k points, had four W2G's and left the ship UP about $4k. I'm still getting non-stop offers with DOU, Elite, Ultra, Premier, etc. - all with free play ranging from $1k (with a free balcony or suite) to $4k AUS (about $3200 US) with a balcony.

 

So churning / earning points is inflating my TDL, and I typically max bet when I'm playing a given machine.

 

My budget will steadily decrease on each of the 7 more trips I have booked (all of which are casino offers) over the next 20 months. As early as on my 4th cruise (coming up in December), the play I engage in will be limited to what they give me ($1k) and whatever winnings it produces. I can math, so I know that my value to CCL will decrease significantly, quickly, and I will not receive such offers at that point. But, while they are available, I'll keep booking them. 🙂

I plan to hammer the casino on my Horizon cruise starting tomorrow and see how the offers then go, and then relax my play a little to see how offers go after that.

I'm not elite with Carnival VIFP and with only two cruises don't think that I'm elite with their players club.  I don't think offers are status related, rather they are play related. I just checked to see what is currently open for me. I already posted play info above, but thought it may help others to have a couple data points on offers as well.

 

The open US based offers I have at present that have free play:

• Elite with free balcony room + $300 + DOU everywhere on the ship (me only) + transportation / parking, free excursions, etc.
• Ultra, Premier, Premier SE, and Getaway, which all have free balcony room + $1k + DOU in the casino while playing (me + 1 companion) I have one of each level available at present, all of them appear the same, but apply to different sailings.
• Hot Streak with free interior room + $200 + DOU in the casino (me only) 

With the case of Australia offers, there are three flavors, all with a free balcony room:

• Elite with $1k AUD and DOU everywhere for me +1, free excursion, free transportation, etc.
• "All-In" offer with $4k AUD and DOU everywhere
• Premier with $4k AUD with DOU for me + 1 in the casino while playing

There is also a smattering of regular offers, such as free cheers to you, Labor Day sale, etc..  I think those come out to everyone.

Only on the elite bookings. Other than the free play amounts, it looks like the rest of the inclusives are listed (for each level) at  https://www.cclpromos.com/carnivalplayersclub/

That might be a goal next time I'm cruising. Try to get an elite offer.
