Time to check your future cruise !

Recommended Posts

Our June cruise was cancelled so we took the FCC cabin match deal for a cruise next May.

Just out of curiosity I was wondering about the occupancy so I went on an internet site that lets you see that.

I was quite amazed to see MY CABIN WAS AVAILABLE !

I have the paperwork confirming the cabin we booked.

Needless to say I have a call into my agent to find out what is going on.

Paperwork from Regent vs. 3rd party site.....I am going with the paperwork is legit and the 3rd party site is wrong.

You can also see at least some of the cabins available on the Regent site.  Did you look there?

Any hints on how to find this site?

If you were talking to me, www.rssc.com .   Sign in to your account and then navigate to do a booking.  Select an itinerary, and click "Plan My Cruise."  Answer the questions, and "Select" your suite category (in the right hand column).  It will only show you the 6 most forward rooms at a time, but you can narrow it down by deck and side of the ship, so you can see quite a few.  There is a box to search for a preferred suite, but it does not work.  If it shows a suite aft of the one you are interested in and not yours, then yours is not available.  If the suite you are interested in is aft of all the ones listed after you narrow down the criteria, then you would have to ask your TA to check.

If you were asking Shippy, that was probably a TA website, and therefore off limits for posting.  However, the only TA website that I am aware of only shows 7 suites per room category  Also, it does not give the option of drilling down by deck or port/starboard, so there is actually better functionality on the Regent site.  Maybe Shippy knows of a better TA site, but still cannot post it here.

  google internet cruise agents.

might take you awhile but just keep trying them one at a time. There are quite a few that will give you the actual cabin numbers still available. You make a 'pretend' booking to where it lets you select your cabin.

I cannot say any of the ones I use. I did that once years ago and was given a warning by cruise critic.

Same here, just recently and I got my hand slapped, even with a veiled address.

I got more than a slap...2011 and still on my account. One point against me from cruisecritic and another point against me from the yahoo that complained about me breaking the rules. There's one in every crowd    :O)

   yep

our cabin still available

The actual cruise sites, not just Regent, make it hard to see all available cabins.

We have (?) a category F.

Checking on another internet site, there are 32 category F cabins available for that cruise.

No, I was talking about Shippy, sorry for the confusion.  But I'm not up for searching laboriously as she suggested.  I was just curious about the world cruise bookings. At the moment most categories are waitlisted.

You may want to contact someone on the boards for that information.

In addition to Shippy’s recommendation to use Google, you can click on Cruise Critic‘s “Cruise Deals” link at the bottom of each page. I find that using an Advanced Search is worth the small, extra effort. It’s a quick and easy way to go.

Yes, indeed.  If our posts survive (and I don't see why not), you found the secret to how to recommend a TA, as long as it is the official CC TA.  They did provide very robust information about what is still available.
