They bring the food from the ship so I felt it was similar to the ship buffets.  Ok but not great.

Buffet: Starting at 11:30, there is a large buffet serving up a number of dishes, including burgers, dogs, pizza, salads, chicken, fruits, and a few other dishes. There are also a number of covered areas with picnic tables for you to sit and eat.

Grill: Right near the buffet is a spot where staff cooks up jerk chicken and other goodies that you can get fresh off the grill. There are a number of sides available too, and the smell draws in a lot of folks to eat here.

Hot Dog Cart: Want a snack? We saw a couple of hot dog carts roaming around the island during our stay. Step up and get a dog as a snack to hold you over, or as your meal.

Food Trucks: There are two food trucks on the island — Abaco Taco and Some Like it Tropic (pictured above) — serving up some dishes that you won’t find anywhere else on Great Stirrup Cay. The menus include ceviche, pulled pork sandwiches, spicy chicken sandwiches and more. Best of all, they are free.

All of the above are excellent pre-Covid-19 descriptions of successful tendering ashore to the private island.  

 

Moving forward, it's going to be a wild guess on changes to expect and see/read when it comes to health & food safety, not to mention social distancing and whether a mask is required / recommended.  Tendering on the double decker Norway is going to be a challenge with reduced seating capacity, as will "likely" be implemented until ...  JMHO, of course, as it raises plenty of universal precautions and infection control questions, for some of us. 

 

I can see #cough #cough prepared box lunches inside sealed pouches, for your convenience.  Not to mention long lines for getting ashore and back, even for priority tendering.

Last cruise we had NCL Joy ending 1st March, a teenager was hospitalised from eating a burger there, later admitted to hospital in Mexico, not to be seen again until flight home.

We hope that all the problems are sorted now, nice lad from Reading U.K. with large family group.

We rented a cabana for the day and in that area they were serving ceviche among other things.  I'm sure I would have enjoyed it more if I hadn't over vacationed with the drinks package the day before 😉.   Overall, we would categorize the food as great picnic fare.  Best of all, it's included...unlike on Harvest Caye.
