Cabin upgrade for doing 4 Costa cruises this year?

I did 2 Costa cruises in 2018 and zero in 2019.

This year 2020, I have already done 2 and will be doing 2 more towards the end of the year.

 

For the first 2 cruises already done in 2020, I did not get any cabin upgrade, nor did I ask for it.

 

Will I get it for the third and fourth cruise later this year? Do I need to phone them and request for it? Am I eligible for it?

If you didn't do one last year, unfortunately you won't be eligible for an upgrade.

It seems to me that Costa make the rules up as they go along. One thing that is on your side is, you may end up on a cruise later this year with many empty cabins. In my experience those with guaranteed cabins are allocated their cabins 1 to 2 weeks before sailing, give them a ring around that time and ask. You are not entitled to one but, if you don't ask, you don't get.

Unlikely, but you may be lucky and they just upgrade you anyway without asking, either way, good luck.
