The Journey home for Princess Staff

Recommended Posts

A short time ago, Carnival Miracle  offloaded crew at Fuerte Amador (Panama), they were taken on chartered buses to the Atlantic side and boarded Carnival Glory enroute to probably Barbados.  Currently, outside Fuerte Amador are Grand and Star Princess, Koningsdam and Oosterdam, and Seabourn Sojourn.  Last night and tonight tenders have been busy going from ship to ship, and ship to shore.  There is no sign of a ship on the Atlantic side...Other than Wind Star...  EM

I read that CCL wants to repatriate all of their crew home by the end of June.  I hope that happens for the sake of the crew.

Just wanted to revive this thread for a bit to share this overview of how most of the Indian crew got home. Truly a momentous operation and kudos to all the crew who stuck it out through any stress and uncertainty they experienced during these times: https://www.seatrade-cruise.com/news/gac-gets-3000-indian-crew-home-hal-princess-seabourn-ships

Some basic stats here: https://www.seatrade-cruise.com/news/princess-has-repatriated-nearly-14000-crew

Basically ~14,000 crew are back home now. 800 have since replaced outgoing members in essential roles. 500 left to repatriate.
