Carnival conversion rate for Australian to US dollar and vice versa

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Not sure if anyone can help me. My husband and I just booked a cruise on carnival splendor 2022 out of Sydney cruising New Zealand. We have $1750 in casino credit and $600 obc in AUS currency.  Our carnival rep couldn't answer our questions. Is the casino in AUS currency? Is the whole ship in AUS currency? I am Canadian and don't want to convert my money into US and then get there and everything is in AUS. Our original carnival rep was let go and he was amazing and I am getting no help from my new rep. Please help!

Yes, a Carnival Splendor cruise out of Sydney will use AUS currency in the casino. The whole ship will operate with Australian currency. Please note that smoking is not allowed in the casino on these cruises. I am not sure if the craps table was removed from Splendor when she was Australianised, but craps is not a very well known game in Australia. When Legend sailed here 6 months a year the craps table was never open.

If the conversion rate is less than 1.4, then I will force my agent to NOT give me any OBC, but give me the same amount as a discount on my Cruise fare instead. (cruise fare is in US$)

Are you going to hold her at gunpoint to force her ?
