mnocket Posted July 18, 2020 #2 Share Posted July 18, 2020 We'll probably see similar actions elsewhere. Tourist destinations have gotten to experience what it's like without tourists - the good and the bad. I would not be surprised to see a fair number of them decide that they don't want to completely go back to the way things were. The most logical first step for these locales will be to ban large cruise ships.
twodjs Posted July 18, 2020 #3 Share Posted July 18, 2020 Their proposals with limits of 1300 passengers and crew eliminate every major cruise line. Based on their figures of low passenger spending compared to those who stay in Key West, I can understand their logic. This would be yet another scramble for VV. They just can't catch a break!
twodjs Posted July 20, 2020 #4 Share Posted July 20, 2020 Maybe with a changing of the guard in November VV could get Cuba added back into the mix, like the original plan a couple of years back.
