Excursions sold out over a year before cruise?

Recommended Posts

This is my first time sailing RCCL and I was looking at excursions for my ports and several are shown as sold out, including all cabanas for Labadee.  The cruise doesn't sail until 7/30 of next year.  Is it possible these are all actually sold out already or could they just not be available to book this far out?

They just aren't available yet.

Correct.  And I would think twice about sending them any money for excursions for a while.  Or sending them any money for anything.......

I don't share that thought exactly....I just booked two Thrill Waterpark cabanas since they are limited in number and at a price point that I know is good....I had two reserved for our May 2020 cruise that was cancelled and those were easily refunded to me. I can always cancel them and the money will be refunded back to my credit card or I can put in a claim for if/when necessary. For us it's better to secure two of these for our family group of 10 for our May 2021 cruise and know we have them.

I've never paid for an excursion ahead of time in 40 cruises. Always got what I wanted after boarding.

I book ahead of time for two reasons: prices are often cheaper when booking in advance & don't need to spend time onboard standing in a line.  We've been on a few ships excursions that sold out quickly onboard.

Friends once did a Med cruise and waited until onboard to book excursions.   The ones that most interested them were no longer available and in one particular port there was nothing left at all.
