The CDC Wants To Hear From You!

The CDC is seeking public input on measures that cruise lines could take to safely resume sailing in a post-covid world.  It's interesting to ponder responses to their 28 questions which cover a wide range of issues.  Input is requested by Sept 21.  Given this deadline and the time it will take to analyze results, it seems unlikely they will lift the No Sail Order shortly thereafter.

In the past week, the CDC received 615 public comments on their request for info related to cruise ship planning/infrastructure and the resumption of passenger operations. 

 

The following submission was made by a long-time crew member of Disney, RCCL and Carnival brands who worked in a guest-facing role.  The summary comment and attached pdf (while very long) are well worth a read.

this is insane.  Has the CDC asked public opinion on closing schools, theaters, hotels, etc.

Worse, they pretty much dodged the guidance on schools completely.  lol
