For lack of something better to do, here is a behind the scenes tour on the Pearl about 8 years ago. You could still go on the bridge then. Was a good tour.

Man, the navigation bridge on her looks like an oversized version of a cockpit on a jet!

Gem Bridge.....

Where is that steering wheel thingy ?

Really great pictures and most thorough - Noted 2010 date

Bridge

Laundry Room

Main Galley between MDRs

Back Stage (dressing room)

Recycling materials near I95 (deck 3)

Presume that this was the PAID tour ?

??? Did the PEARL have the bridge viewing room deck 11 at that time ?

In 2012, we were allowed on the bridge of the Getaway. It was on her inaugural voyage from Miami (after being the Bud Lite hotel for the superbowl). It literally had that "new ship smell". We were not allowed to photograph controls, security, or safety consoles, but got a few pics from forward windows and the windows and floor windows in the wings.

Terrorist attacks in Paris caused a change in security protocols and guests are no longer allowed on the bridge on tours and all tours are escorted by 1 or 2 security personnel.

i paid for the behind the scenes tour of the Gem around 4 or 5 years ago.

was allowed on the bridge.

got a picture taken in the Galley with chef's hat and a 3 foot long kitchen whisk. (pic was free souvenir, which i didnt even know about!)

i've made Platinum since then and just go on the free Platinum tour now.

the shortened free Platinum tour is only missing the environmental/recycling and provisions/food storage part of the paid tour.

if we were still allowed on the bridge, i would pay for the tour just for the bridge of either the Joy, Bliss or Encore.
