Santa Margherita - Oriana. What a day that was. We tendered but the operation was disrupted by lots of small boats coming close to see us and causing too many waves for it to be safe to tender, The captain asked the harbour master to help stop the boats coming near but he refused as it was a special Saint's day where coins were thrown into the sea and the locals dived for them. This delayed tendering until late afternoon. He did give permission for the ship to stay at anchor until late at night as there was a special fireworks display we could see from the ship. The crew did amazingly well by providing an unscheduled evening BBQ on deck. It was a lovely warm evening.

Santander - a different view. Adonia is out there somewhere.

Would love to visit Santander to see this. It reminds me of the Iron Men figures on Crosby beach by Anthony Gormley 'Another Place'
