From our DD today:

"A new and easy test for the horror of Covid 19 is doing the rounds and
it's simple, quick and positive (or negative if you see what I mean).

Take a glass and pour a decent dram of your favorite whisky into it;
then see if you can smell it.  If you can, then you are halfway there.

Then drink it. If you can taste it then it is reasonable to assume you
are currently free of the virus because the loss of the sense of smell
and taste is a common symptom.

I tested myself 7 times last night and was virus free every time,
thank goodness."

PS  I told her I just sniff the peanut butter jar daily!

Thank you for the Daily Rich and thank you for the Care and Celebration lists Roy.  I don't like heights so don't go up in skyscrapers, just the thought makes my palms sweaty.  And I just about threw up when I saw the picture Copper10-8 posted.  I bowled a lot when I was younger, wasn't good but it was a lot of fun in our little small town in Colorado.  Passing on the meal suggestion even though I love olives, I love anything briny.

I missed posting yesterday.  I had my post all written and a picture picked out but everything went poof when I tried to attach the picture, not really sure what happened.  I worked and worked on it to no avail so just gave up.

Have a great evening everyone!

Hi, everyone.  I am late to the party today because I have been wrestling with computers all day long.  I finally have the PC working again (for now).  It has truly been a struggle.

I love Ann's sniff test for COVID.   I can smell tonight's dinner down here in the TV room so I guess I am virus free.

Tonight's photo is from a sail away from Portland, Maine in August, 2013.

I'm not a fan of skyscrapers, not keen on heights, I know the views from them can be amazing.

I went to the grocery store this morning at 7, so of course I woke up about 5.  I think I will need a siesta this afternoon.  Spent a lot of money - I think prices are going up!

Prices here  have also increased.

Prices have gone up.  Tuesday, I went to the grocery store and came back with a whole beef brisket!  It was $ 2.99 per pound much cheaper then anything else.  Cut it in  half, put a rub on it.  Then wrapped and froze one half for another day.  Put the other half in the crockpot with some home made BBQ sauce!  It was awesome (I don't have a smoker, so crockpot and BBQ worked wonders!)  We ate on it, sent some over to father in law and leftover brisket sliders tonight!  Hope I can find another "sale" in the future!
