We were there on the Maasdam in August 2019. Second time around Japan we missed the port due to a typhoon. Also there in 2017 on Volendam. Didn’t see Mt Fuji either time.

You must go back!  We were so lucky!  Plane, train, automobile and ship💕image.thumb.jpeg.224d841ce69182cb5c86ddc51adbf74a.jpegimage.thumb.jpeg.5662a80cfe74ee0999c57d9893b8be8d.jpegyimage.thumb.jpeg.36c67bf1fd7ab9cf1fa37333bd59023a.jpeg

Thanks.  I've been there once, 2013, on the Ryndam.  In late June it was daylight 24 hours, but still windy and cool.

I think this is the only sunrise photo I have in my entire collection, though maybe it is a sunset. 😉

Hint:  Here's a photo of a creature that is the symbol of this port.

A stronger hint:  Here is a photo I took when walking back to the ship in the afternoon.

Beautiful! What month? Rainy days for us in August and October.

April, we went for the cherry blossoms!  Next I hope for November fall colours.

While I give the one above a little more time, here’s one that is of a port city we sailed from!

Ok, looks like my difficulty scale is off.  Here’s another clue.  A ship named for this city,  is back in this city but now another bears it’s name!

Yes!  Argostoli, Cephalonia, Greece.

I wondered when I first saw it,  because we went to a restaurant there,  where the turtle came every evening.

I took the sea turtle photo from the waterside walkway -- it was about three feet away from the seawall.
