Check your Amex offers - $150 off $500 NCL on mine

Recommended Posts

My Amex Gold card had the above offer that expires on 12/31/2020.  My son-in-law had it on one of his cards as well. Just giving everyone a heads up that it might be worth checking to see if you have it listed under offers on your cards.

Is this only for Amex cards issued in US and Canada or for the whole world?

I am not sure.  It just appeared today under my offers (along with a Marriott offer and some car rental offers, as well)
I have an Amex ( golden colour) Rewards card.
Do you know which Amex cards are eligible for this discount offer

Thanks, seeing it for my Amex EveryDay Card although I probably won't take advantage since I already have a ton of future cruise credits.

once i tried this and they said i had to opt in first, they always have some loophole not to pay it.

That's how it works. You have to add the offer to your card first.

My offer was a little different from Amex:

Details

Get 15,000 additional Membership Rewards points one-time by using your enrolled Card to spend a minimum of $500 in one or more eligible transactions online at NCL.com or calling 1-888-438-7114 by 12/31/2020. See terms for exclusions.

Offer Terms

ENROLLMENT/ELIGIBLE CARDS: Enrollment limited. Must first add offer to Card and then use same Card to redeem. Only U.S.-issued American Express® Cards that are enrolled in the Membership Rewards® program at the time of purchase are eligible. Limit 1 enrolled Card per Card Member across all American Express offer channels. Your enrollment of an eligible American Express Card for this offer extends only to that Card. Your enrollment does not extend to any other Cards that may be linked to the same Membership Rewards program account (such as Additional Cards). Offer is non-transferable. ELIGIBLE PURCHASES: Offer valid for qualifying reservations between 10/2/2020 & 12/31/2020. Includes spend for booking directly via NCL.com or by calling 1-888-438-7114. Excludes purchases onboard, Norwegian gift cards, shore excursions and transportation to and from the ship. Valid only on US website. Valid only on purchases made in US dollars. Please note that hotels, car rental companies, cruise lines do not accept prepaid cards for charges authorized in advance, although prepaid cards may be used to settle the final bill. Check to make sure prepaid cards are accepted before attempting to use your prepaid card to take advantage of offers for these merchants. Purchases may fall outside of the offer period in some cases due to a delay in merchants submitting transactions to us or if the purchase date differs from the date you made the transaction (for example, the purchase date for online orders may be the shipping date). If American Express does not receive information that identifies your transaction as qualifying for the offer, you will not receive the additional points. For example, your transaction will not qualify if it is not made directly with the merchant. In addition, in most cases, you may not receive the additional Membership Rewards points if your transaction is made with an electronic wallet or through a third party. EARNING POINTS: Limit of 15,000 additional Membership Rewards points per Card Member. The enrolled Card account must be active, not be past due, canceled or have a returned payment outstanding to receive the additional Membership Rewards points. Any additional points you receive through this offer are in addition to the points you would normally receive for purchases charged to your Card, but the number of additional points you receive will be based on the purchase price after any credit or other discount is applied. When we calculate the additional points benefit for Amex EveryDay® Card products, points awarded under this offer will not be included. Additional points will be credited to your Membership Rewards program account within 90 days after 12/31/2020, provided that American Express receives information from the merchant about your qualifying purchase. We may not credit additional points to, or we may take away additional points that have been credited to, your program account if the qualifying purchase is cancelled. Terms and conditions for the Membership Rewards program apply. Visit membershiprewards.com/terms for more information. Participating partners and available rewards are subject to change without notice. The value of Membership Rewards points varies according to how you choose to use them. To learn more, go to www.membershiprewards.com/pointsinfo. By adding an offer to a Card, you agree that American Express may send you communications about the offer. Bonus ID: B6MM POID: K19I:0002

My offer is same. as yours. 15k points. Kind of disappointed it is not $150 cash credit.

If I'm not mistaken 15,000 points can be redeemed for a $150 statement credit.

I have 4 different Amex cards and the only one it appears on is my husband's Business Platinum.  Usually can get double one for each of us but not this time.  Won't use it if ships are not sailing by Dec 31.

Interesting thing about this: I noticed the offer on all three of our Amex cards over the weekend and this morning, it's gone from all three. Anyone else notice this? Or is Amex just tired of us using this nice offer every time they make it available and took it away before we could use it?  😁

No, I didn't even open/click on the offer in any of the cards - I just read the title and recognized it as one of the Amex/cruise line credit back deals. Oh well.... I was just curious if anyone else had noticed the offer available then inexplicably gone later.

Update: funny thing - the NCL-Amex offer is back on our Amex cards today. Guess Amex decided we haven't been abusing this offer previously after all and generously gave it back to us. 😕

  • 2 weeks later...

Very random. Wasn’t on my everyday blue card but was on my husbands card which is merely just another card number on same account. Check them all
