lprp Posted October 11, 2020 #1 Share Posted October 11, 2020 News reports in the UK saying that Australia is looking at opening its borders, but VERY selectively.... ....no travel to/from UK, Europe or USA until late 2021 at the earliest. Covid: Australia in talks over quarantine-free travel https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-australia-54499478 Guessing that rules out any cruises there until circa 2022 😔
jillyf Posted October 12, 2020 #2 Share Posted October 12, 2020 We can’t leave Victoria ( all state borders closed) and it looks like a while till they are open. International travel out of Australia is not available without a permit probably until mid 2021, if then. Melbourne is still in stage 4 lockdown and may be easing in the next week or two, but there is a little more freedom in regional areas. We are resigning ourselves to holidays very close to home.
