This may sound real stupid but here goes.

I have been on  few cruises and I'm always amazed at how few electrical outlets in the cabin.

I am afraid to take a power strip so we switch devices between outlets.

My question is if I use an European outlet adapter can I plug in my USA items ?

Thank you !

I travel with a universal adapter that also features 4 USB charging ports.  I plug it into the 220V power port and then plug my laptop into it since my laptop can run on 220V.  The 4 USB ports are good for charging cameras and phones leaving the 110V outlet available for whatever else like a hairdryer.

It also works in hotel rooms overseas.  It was $12 on Amazon.

everything you own from blow dryer to curling iron to phone charger has imprinted on it somewhere something like

Input: 100 ~ 240  - This stated input information means that you can plug this device into any source that provides electricity from 100volts AC up to 240 volts AC.  All you need is the adaptor. (NOT Converter)

If it says Input: 100 - 125V, then that is the voltage range

We use all the outlets in a cabin. I do like Twangster. I have my portable devices multi port charger plugged into one of the ships European outlets with an adaptor and use that area for charging all of my devices from iPhone to iPads to camera batteries.
