What are the chances this is an "IT error"?

Always possible.   Need to get it confirmed.   Maybe a screen shot.   In the am when I'm more awake.   Should be sleeping right now.

56 points for a 14 night cruise in a JS and above or will it not apply to cabin grades who already get double points?

Good news if you want to make the next level especially Pinnacle but the number of Diamonds will increase massively with the knock on effect of overcrowded DLs which is often discussed on here.

Hello,

I've just sent this to my TA asking him to enquire.

For those that it does/may affect, it must apply to existing bookings because imagine the effort required to cancel and rebook all the current bookings for those where C&A points are important. I'm sure RCI has better things to do - like do my refunds & FCCs for a start.

Interesting to know how many bookings there are already from the USA & Canada.

There is no mention of the offer on either the RCI Press Centre website nor the loyaltoyoualways offers pages

Regards,

Cublet.

If the offer is real, my guess is new bookings only, as a way to raise cash.   Royal Caribbean has nothing to lose by offering extra points.

They did it years ago (several years in a row) when they had the Diamonds in December event. Diamond  members got an extra credit, (no points back then -we had one or two credits per cruise ) for cruises taken in December.

edit to add Dash I see it on the website, but I don’t see any information regarding new or existing bookings

I can’t find any terms and conditions on either Cruising Power or Loyal to You Always.  Hope this simply means all 2021 sailings and not new bookings only.
It really wouldn't be fair if it was only new bookings but stranger things have happened. I'm not gonna be happy if it's only new bookings that's for sure.

Without details posted, or even if it's true, we can't know.

Agree.  I think having it for new bookings only would be a PR nightmare.

If you already get double solo pts does it apply? I only have 2 booked in 2021, 4 squashed into early 2022.  So of course I'm wondering do I get 3 pts instead of 2?

That's still interesting.
