I was able to get 1688 on Mariner this past February for just two of us but it took a little finagling.  At the time I booked, there were no balconies showing for two but a ton for 3 and 4.  The rep in the next cruise office booked it for three, she put herself in the cabin with us, and then contacted corporate to get it released for two.  They released the cabin for two the next day and she removed herself from the cabin.

It would have been interesting if she had showed up!

This will certainly mess up some people’s Crystal Block collection strategy.

Does anyone still have a valid Crystal Block strategy???    Mine's been in the garbage since April.     I'll revisit it once we start sailing again.

Don't plan on one since lots of plans are bound to go sideways due to cancellation into next year.

Agree.  Can not make plans until things return to a new normal.  No telling if Royal will switch up more ships.  Also unsure if my Empress cruise will happen next year.  Too much unknown right now.

It's in small print under the word Continue on the page where you select the # of guests

Hello,

Do people here ever see a 'Seniors' Discount' on their bookings? In RCI terms I've been a 'senior' ever since I started cruising with them and I've never seen a line on the Guest Invoice nor when I've done a dummy booking saying such - perhaps it's a US thing only.

Regards,

Cublet

In all of these years I don’t think I’ve ever utilized a Seniors discount.  I think they are so low on the discount ladder that they are usually overridden by some other promo.  Not sure.  I always try and ultimately don’t see it added anywhere.

Sold all mine on EBay. Don’t like clutter. Never displayed them.

Hello,

I think RCI is missing a trick here.

(Very) Many years ago there was a children's TV programme on a Saturday mornings called 'The Multi-coloured Swap Shop' (children could seek to swap posters of former pre-pubescent boy-bands for currently pre-pubescent boy-bands etc) - perhaps RCI, or we on CC, could set-up a swap facility along the same lines as the M&M or Roll Call.

There were quite a few on a lot of the Empress sailings a few months ago.

I had a senior rate on my Empress sailing that got shifted.  I have seen several Fl resident rates lately.  We got a $379 military discount on our May Allure sailing  Just looked and have a Fl resident $128 discount on a NV sailing that I shifted to the MA for next year

Yeah I am a pack rat, I like stuff, but I have blocks, but there are at the absolute bottom of my collecting

Me too. I inherited the gene from my father. My mother, on the other hand, would throw out anything in the house that wasn't nailed down. It drove both of us insane. My father and I also have this OCD about time and not being late. My mother had no clue what a clock or watch is for. My brother got all of her genetics.

Interesting how some of us really like the blocks and others get nothing out of them.

If our cruises all sail In 2021 we will end up getting 5 blocks on 4 sailings.  Each of the four of us is at a different point level.  Only one duplicate block.
