Kim Kardashian Celebrates Her 40th Birthday By Chartering A (Crystal) Boeing 777

I wonder what 'private' island they could fly to directly? Only Faa'a in Papeete is long enough for a 777. I don't think any other island airport has a runway near long enough for jumbo to take-off/land on.

Apparently the Brando Resort, about 30 miles from Papeete. It appears that the resort can arrange the inter-island air connection.

Transport to The Brando is made by air: Air Tetiaroa flies between Tahiti and Tetiaroa. The airline's departure is located in a private terminal at the Faa'a International Airport on the island of Tahiti. Air Tatiaroa rates to The Brando Resort on Tetiaroa fluctuate with the regular, high and festive seasons.

Tetiaroa airport (TTI) is quite small.  The single runway is only 1762 feet long - even smaller than the runway on St Barths (2133 ft).  Still, that's quite huge compared to the airport on the island of Saba (1000ft).

FWIW, at sea level, the minimum runway needed for a virtually empty 777 (minimum fuel) is a bit under 4000 ft, so most definitely they didn't take the Skye anywhere other than PPT.
