How many people does it take for them to have had success?  All of them?  Which other part of our society is virus free?  Good deal on the casino rate....  The virus will continue until it does not anymore.  No politician or scientist has made any difference.  How we live our lives is what matters.  IF it stays for 10 years will you feel the same way about cruising?

I just turned 70 so another 10 years may be pushing it a bit too hard, but yes, I'd be even more adamant about not getting on a cruise as I age.  I believe in quality of life, and I can do without some voluntary enjoyments like travel and cruising and still enjoy the years I'll have left.

We've been fortunate with over 50 cruises, and maybe more land vacations.  The memories of snorkeling off our overwater bungalow in Bora Bora, exploring the Great South Road or Cairns in Oz, seeing pygmy blue penguins return from the ocean to come ashore and feed their chicks in NZ, being on a 3 generational family Disney cruise, cruising through Italy and Greece, visiting 4 Hawaiian islands a week at a time and seeing some of our National parks here at home in the US and Canada, can sustain me for the rest of my life.

If I was dependent on cruising or travel for pleasure or my livelihood, I'd begin to search out other avenues to fulfill those needs, but I'm not.  They are only wants, and as I've said, we've had a good run.

It was actually more of rhetorical questions....but I get the points.  Let’s hope it does not come to that.

Looks like more than one case now.  This article says five but I read somewhere else that it's up to seven now.

Interesting.  I think this is what I have been saying all along would happen.  Realism is hard to bet against.
