I spoke to them yesterday. They aren’t taking bookings and they wouldn’t admit that the Celebration is on her way to India. All they kept saying was “wait until next Wednesday an announcement will be made regarding the cruise line”.

This feels like a sound, "save the company" move to me.  Keep your best ship, sell the other for scrap.  The cash will help pay the bills including the legal settlement with the crew.  This keeps the lights on until (hopefully) cruising restarts.  Older ships without balconies these days are not worth much other than as scrap.
