kiwimum Posted December 2, 2020 #1 Share Posted December 2, 2020 We have 3 mini suites booked on Majestic Princess, Riviera deck and wondering if the balcony dividers can be opened.
Potstech Posted December 2, 2020 #2 Share Posted December 2, 2020 Depends on whether there is a fire wall between any of the cabins. Ask your room steward to open them to know for sure. Usually yes
Aus Traveller Posted December 2, 2020 #3 Share Posted December 2, 2020 The firewalls separate the zones on the ship with cabins starting with 101/102 near the bow, continuing through with the next zone, 201/202 all the way through to the 700s. If you look at the plan for your deck of the Majestic Princess on line, you will see opening doors shown in the corridors. Those are smoke (or fire) doors. The cabin numbers 'jump' at this point. For instance, immediately in front of one of the doors the cabin is number E630 and the one next to it is E702. If the numbers of your cabins just rise by two, then you are within the same fire zone and the balcony doors should be able to be opened.
nini Posted December 2, 2020 #4 Share Posted December 2, 2020 This is a very helpful hint! I wondered what those "swinging doors" were on the deck plans. Good to know!
