Blue Chip Casino Offer/Drink Packages

We received an offer for a cruise in 2021 through Blue Chip Casino Club which we accepted. It did not include any perks so I want to add a drink package along with prepaid tips.  However, how the pricing is done now which always includes these items plus Wi-Fi I am not able to find pricing on Celebrity's website to know how much it would cost add the premium drink package and tips.  I called and they said I could purchase the upgrade package for about $2K(about 50% of cruise if I book by myself) so it is still a savings but to me it sounds like way to high a price to pay.  I cannot see anything on the website.

Has anyone purchased separately the drink package separately when sailing(when we can eventually do it) on a Blue Chip offer?  I could, I guess, just pay as we go but it is a pain to sign slips, etc.

Any info would be helpful.

The Premium package is listed in the Cruise Planner at $69 per person, per day plus there is a 20% gratuity added.

If you sign in  to your account on X and look at the Cruise Planner under beverage packages.  On occasion they have a sale and reduce they price by 10-25%.  In the past there were rare 50% off sales but I haven't seen one in a long time.

Did you book before the Always Included pricing became effective? Always Included means the Classic Beverage package, basic (non-streaming) wifi and prepaid grats are baked into the fare, including Blue Chip Club fares. If you booked prior to Always included, perhaps you could look into how much it would be to cancel your current and rebook under Always Included.

I booked a cruise yesterday through Blue Chip Club and I will be getting Always Included. To upgrade to the Premium Beverage Package will cost me an additional $12/night (with 10% off for being Elite).

I changed it from a 1/2021 cruise offer that was cancelled to the 1/22 cruise  yesterday. Maybe that is the difference.  I will contact Blue Chip desk to see why my offer as you stated did not include "Always". The Blue Chip agent told me it would be another $1039 to add the beverage, tips, etc. times 2 and that was not premium drink package which we always choose.  I think another call is warranted for sure.  Thanks for your information.

Also I did go on my account and looked at the reservation and there was no listing for beverage packages- it was there but then when you tried to look into it there was nothing showing pricing  That is why I called.

Obviously I have plenty of time to work this out.  Just curious. $70 + 20% for two would be $1176 which would maybe make sense but not $2K.

If I can get it included I will be most happy.  Wish me luck.

It is not our fault we had to change.  I will email them(Blue Chip) again and maybe they will call me directly and get clarification.

The pricing now is so much higher for a simple Caribbean cruise.  Have not even looked into booking other cruises to replace what I had cancelled and paid for.

Never easy.

Hope all are well.

It seems mind boggling to me why they can't just apply these perks.

I just called to rebook a comped Alaska cruise that was cancelled, wasn't offered the "Always Included" either and the receipt still shows the original booking date of June 4th.

If you move an existing booking the original booking number and everything else is supposed to stay the same including perks.  The original date has remained on my moved cruises.

Agree about calling Blue Chip.  PS I got $1176 for drinks on a 7 day cruise.

So bottom line we should cancel the comps and then ask them to rebook with the new booking date. Also applicable for the double points which we likely won't receive either with an old booking date. 🤬

Just to throw a late add to this - hopefully the OP got this resolved - I was offered the free Veranda cruise through Blue Chip on the usual select sailings through 2021, but it included the Always package. I called the concierge about upgrading to Aqua (only $70/person total) and she commented that I had the "great new package offer".

I also got that offer and they told me that it was an error but they would honor it. Originally the booking didn't have any perks so I called and they fixed it and I ended up upgrading to a Sky suite for $100pp and then I have to pay for our son. The rep who fixed it said he was back up back up casino staff and said he hadn't seen anyone else with the offer we had. I feel like I scammed them out of something because I got so much for free and my husband barely gambled last cruise so no clue why we got an offer.

Nice! I asked about going to a suite, but it was only offered at 50% off of normal fare. Not bad normally, but when you're only paying taxes and fees, it's a big jump up. The rep I spoke with said she was recommending Aqua to anyone who asked since it was such a minimal upcharge.

I was just reading FAQs on a casino comp site and it said AI was included for all Blue Chip comped cruises as of Nov 17, 2020.

Hi! Thank you for posting this note. If you have time, could you share the link to the FAQ that has detail about AI for BCC comped cruises?

It’s a busy time of year - so if it’s a pain to do, I don’t want to impose and appreciate your original post.

Hoping I can call back BCC with a specific link/ screen capture and see if they will confirm the AI package is included for a casino comped sailing that was moved from 2021 (prior to AI) to 2022.

In the meantime, I’ll do some searching online too.

TIA! Stay well.

I had another offer for infinity cabin on Apex and asked about adding the all included and was told no and then I asked if I upgraded to get the perks and she said it would be another $2200+ a person! So I went from $262 taxes.  Heck I can get the premium drink package and gratuities for less(never use WiFI perk).  I think maybe I am not a high roller(thank goodness or I would have spent too much).  Although it would be fun.

Also I was saw where they are offering flights for Caribbean cruise for $99 each way.  Have to call Blue Chip. Can just imagine how that will go.

It is so far away it is kind of fun seeing how many offers differ.

Just hope we get to go on these cruises - even if it is minimum tax and we see how it goes on board.

Wanted to follow up about my question and your responses about comp Apex cruise with no perks.  I was able to get for $420 the premium drink package, WI-FI, $150/per pp for shore excursions and gratuities for two people.  Since I was thinking the drink package I wanted was at least $65 + tip I am happy with the price.  I looked on line and the cost for the cruise if purchasing is costly I think for a Caribbean cruise.

If you go with the Indulge you get the same except streaming WIFI which we will not use plus $300/pp to use on board or excursions.  So for $420 more I can $300 more but all the $600 can be used either on board or on excursions.  Have to think about this one.

So glad some got their perks included but happy with this.  Not worth just trying to go with no drink package for $30 a day.  Premium to boot.

Hope all are well.

We got the comp balcony and the email lists all the perks.  When I called blue chip they said no comps on my offer.  Could not get anywhere with telling them that the email clearly stated all included.  May call back later and try for a different rep.  Any other suggestions?

Screen shot the email that you received, talk to a CSR and then move up the chain of command

Is there a link in the email or do you really have to call? Worst case forward that email to BCC and request a callback.

The post you responded to is over two years old.
