Does anyone know what perks casino suites come with? I spoke to three different agents on the phone, and got 3 sets of answers. One agent told me you get "gratuity, classic beverage package and stream wifi", a second told me that plus "$300 OBC and unlimited specialty dining", and the third told me that you get always included, but not the automatic upgrade to indulge that normal suite guests get.

Define "Suite".  Many people use the term to denote any room they're in on a ship. The other definition would be those rooms that are the larger sq ft and have additional perks and restricted areas.

Which one of the above is the "casino suite" you are in?

If your in a suite on Celebrity and Always Included you get the regular always included perks of Classic Beverage Package, Surf Internet, and Gratuities PLUS the Indudge package which included Premium Beverage upgrade,  Stream Internet (1 Device) and $400 pp OBC ($200 shore ex, $200 general).

One note is that 2022/23 Equinox itineraries just released they seem to have decreased the OBC to $300.

Higher level suites RS and above come with unlimited laundry and unlimited specialty as well as some other room amenities.

I can't say for sure what the Blue Chip comps get.   It would be all of the above or none.

The OBC amount seems to vary depending on length of cruise. I have a 12 night and a 7 night booked for 2022 and got $400 in OBC pp on the 12 night and $300 OBC pp on the 7 night.

Are you on a full comp through the casino or just a percentage discount or applying a credit you earned from a prior cruise?

Comped A2 and upgraded to S2.

Rules for comp cabins appear to be different than other discounts. I have inquired about them before but did not book because none of the tier benefits nor any of the perks were included even when paying to upgrade to a suite. Others here have reported that they did get tier benefits and perks on a comp so it has always been inconsistent. It might depend on who you talk to, which sailing you choose or what offers they have active at any given moment. When I book the % discount off a suite through Blue Chip then I get all the perks and tier benefits. Now, my inquiries on free cabins were prior to the changes they made a few months ago where the perks became permanent amenities for suites. So I can’t say what Blue Chip would or would not include on a comp at this point.

I have a sky suite booked on a Blue Chip offer. The email I got listed the always included perks. What got booked was no perks. When I called to get it corrected they said my email was a mistake but they honored it. I decided to upgrade to a sky suite for $20 more a day and got the suite perks. So it really depends.

Did you get Indulge like a normal suite guest, or did you get the basic Always Included package?

The suite perks.

Which version? There's the current always included version which gives you premium drinks, streaming wifi, etc and there's the old basic set which gives you the classic beverage package and surf wifi.

  • 3 months later...

I booked the Apex Athens sailing for Sep 2021 a few days ago, in a Sky suite (S2), at a casino (Blue Chip Club) discount.

The agent told me my perks are Classic Drink Package, Surf Internet, and Gratuities (no OBC and no port excursion credit).

If I would have booked this regularly (i.e., not through BCC), then I would have received Premium Drink Package, Stream Internet, Gratuities, OBC, and Port excursion credit (i.e., the Indulge package).

Still worth it as the discount was amazing.

While I don't have experience with BCC bookings, that's a strange set of perks for a suite booking.   I'd suspect you would get the regular suite perks or non at all.   I wonder if you were given the correct information.   Your Celebrity Guest Invoice should give you confirmation of what you are going to receive.   It may take a few days  for them to be added to your invoice but generally OBC shows right away.   You can also view any Celebrity OBC by looking at cruise planner for your reservation.

Within the same week I also booked through the BCC a Feb 2023 Sailing on the Eclpse from Sydney, in a Royal Suite.

For that sailing, we received a $ 800 OBC.

I just assumed when I booked that we would also get the remaining Retreat perks, such as Premium Drink Package and Stream Internet.  Guess I should call to confirm ...

it's a bit annoying that the BCC booking receipt does not list the perks included

We are booked on Apex for April 22, with a Casino rate.    It is a Magic Carpet S3 suite with premium drink pkg, wifi, pre paid gratuities, and $300 OBC per room.    Not a full casino comp, but rate is $2900 total for the both of us.    All the other usual suite perks are there too (Luminae, Retreat, etc)

I believe OBC is issued as follows: 1-5 nights $200/pp; 6-9 nights $300/pp; 10+ nights $400/pp.  We have 2 sailings for 2022, both 12 nights each and we have a combined $800 OBC on each cruise.  Also for both of the cruises this is included on our booking receipt, page 2.

We got the same - classic drink package, stream internet & gratuities for our Euro 2022 cruise in S1 on the Edge. Zero OBC and no premium drink package unless we paid  an additional cost for those (which we did). However the discount on the cruise was significant.

Our comped cruise is in a reg balcony cabin, zero perks, and no upgrades to cabin class allowed. I’m not complaining at all and am grateful for the opportunity to have such an offer.

My personal experience, for what it's worth:

comped (free) cruise: zero extras (except free drinks in the casino, free play)

discounted cruise: AI applies

Cabin upgrades: subjective, as it depends on who you talk to @ BC, as I've called multiple times and had varying responses. It pays to call back.

Thanks everyone for sharing your experience.

So I spoke to a nice lady at BCC this morning about my BCC bookings, and here is the summary:

1) Athens Apex Sky Suite S2 Discounted Casino Rate:  Classic Beverage Package, Surf Internet (NOT Stream Internet), Gratuities; however, NO OBC or port excursion credit.  I upgraded Surf Internet for my wife to Stream Internet for $ 86, and upgraded my drink package to Premium Bev for $ 129 (8 night cruise)

2) Sydney Eclipse Royal Suite Discounted Casino Rate:  Premium Beverage Package, Stream Internet, Gratuities, $ 800 OBC.

3) Western Caribbean Comped balcony: NO perks, but I was able to upgrade to Aqua A2 for $ 140 total.

So in short, others who have posted on this board that perks depend on specific sailing and BCC status is correct...don't assume that because you've booked a suite that you will get the suite AI amenities (i.e., the Indulge package).

I just called BCC and asked about an Aqua Class upgrade from an IV fully comped Western Caribbean cruise on the Edge. It would have cost me over $1000 to upgrade. I declined.

Sounds like your upgrade option is to pay the full fare difference between IV and Aqua.

When I first tried upgrading from Apex comped balcony to Aqua on my Western Caribbean cruise, they said no availability; but they said to try back later as upgrade cabins are released to BCC continually.  I was successful on the second try and paid the $ 140 nominal upgrade fee.

You might want to try back later and see if you have better luck.

Yes, the agent told me how she arrived at the figure but it was a bit confusing but yes, that was the gist of it. I'll try again another time, thanks for your suggestion.
