Quantum Alaska Sailings Cancelled

Can anyone see the Asia/Pacific sailings ? We are booked on TP Hawaii to Brisbane Australia 14th Oct 2021but if it is not going to Alaska it can't sail back on a TP🤔 Anyway Australian State Boarders keep opening and closing like a dunny door at a concert 🤣

I would try changing your Royal Caribbean site to the Singapore site.  That was the only way you could see the sailings that are sailing now for Quantum.  I haven't checked to see if they have added others.

Casino offers are not included in the lift & shift so I will have to wait and see what itineraries they load to the Club Royale site as a replacement.  There is nothing there so far.

I called the casino Dept today since our Quantum May 30th was canceled and they allowed me to do a Lift n Shift with no problems to a May Quantum Alaska 2022 cruise.  And we even got a better balcony.   Only had to pay $55 more in port fees and taxes for the 3 of us

So call up....the rep said the casino cabins will go quick with all the 2021 cancellations

Technically correct.

HOWEVER, Casino Royale has loaded an “offer” which allows them to move your casino booking 1 year forward (within 7 days next year). It is essentially a Lift and Shift, but done with a casino offer. So, we moved our reservation and were actually offered our same room next year (we picked a better room).

If it's Quantum, it's most likely cancelled too.

Your TP cruise on 14th Oct is already cancelled.

No details on the new Asia-Pacific sailings yet, but likely to continue the "cruise to nowhere" in Singapore.

I plan to Lift and Shift and have asked my travel agent to take care of it for me.  When I log into my RCC cruise planner I see this offer.  If I take the offer will it mess up my Lift and Shift?

You can only take the cruise planner offer if you take the FCC.  If you lift and shift your cruise planner purchases will be refunded.

Lift and shift is the best option the prices have doubled and even tripled in some cases.  My TA was able to get it changed right away and it was for 4 cabins.  I was disappointed it was only a week on either side but the price I paid was a steal compared to what they are charging for star class on the 2022 cruises.

I was happy they offered us a lift and shift at all.  I expected that these cruises were going to be cancelled and I expect the other ships sailing Alaska will get cancelled eventually.  I was very surprised they made the decision on Quantum before final payment though.  Sky class cabins also are priced crazy for 2022, so a L&S of our great rate was much appreciated.

I have Ovation booked for July, originally 2020.  I also don’t expect Canada to open its borders and seeing how they handled the Quantum cancellation was great especially seeing how they let people who shifted from 2020 to 2021 shift a second time to 2022. Prices are crazy compared to what we paid.

Hi Ken,

Tricky question... what happens if the ship is doing an itinerary that includes my country (Israel) and, obviously, I'm not interested in L&S's ing to it? (Sept. 2021 v. Sept. 2022, Apex).

Thanks, Dani🌷

Either a refund or 125% FCC

Thanks, bummer -- without the possibility of L&S, it means paying a LOT more than the original cruise (the rates just doubled).😢😢😢

Since I am booked with a TA I could not call Royal to L&S.  I did it online for a  B2B.  First one is fine, the 2nd leg they put us at the other end of the ship, 5 decks lower.  Sent email to TA.

Do you have a link to where you can do it online?

TIA

The link I used on Thursday did not work on Friday afternoon.

It was under Cruise with Confidence.  It started with cancel your cruise.

Did you get the one week/four week issue clarified with your TA?

I am surprised your Quantum trans Pacific from Hawaii has not already been cancelled. My travel agent has said no cruises of more than 7 nights can leave an American port through till November 2021. This rule would still have applied even if the Alaskan season for Quantum had gone ahead. Princess has already cancelled trans Pacific cruises for Emerald and Coral  in September/October because of this rule. Not to say Quantum won't come out to Australia from Asia to start the Australian season in October if our borders open and cruising resumes.

We are also booked on the Trans Pacific from Honolulu to Brisbane and have not received any information from RC regarding whether or not that cruise has been cancelled.  I suspect we have not received anything as yet because the lift and shift option is not possible for us yet.  I think they might hold off sending us anything until RC confirm the date and itinerary for the Quantum of the Seas Honolulu to Brisbane in October 2022 so we are able to take advantage of the Lift and Shift option.  We got such a great price and want to lift and shift to 2022 so we keep that price.

As you may be aware, our industry's situation remains quite fluid. Despite this, we're making some positive leaps towards a return to sailing; leaps like our Healthy Sail Panel collaboration, partnerships with multiple medical experts and health organizations, and the launch of Quantum of the Seas' successful Singapore sailings. Now that 2021 is here, we're looking forward to welcoming guests back onboard the rest of our fleet.

Following her Singapore season, Quantum of the Seas was set to offer Alaska sailings from April 2021. However, to allow additional time for our preparation, Quantum will remain in the Asia-Pacific region. As a result, we've cancelled our 2021 Alaska season onboard this ship. Regrettably, this also means Quantum's Hawaii sailing, departing Vancouver on October 4th, 2021, and her Transpacific sailing, departing Honolulu on October 14th, 2021, have also been cancelled.

We're terribly sorry for the impact to your vacation. Our primary goal continues to be a seamless and healthy return to service; we're hyper-focused on welcoming you back! As mentioned, we've assembled the "Healthy Sail Panel" - a multifaceted team of globally recognized experts. The panel continues to work alongside our new Public Health & Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Calvin Johnson, to pioneer innovative ways to guide the cruise industry's way forward in the pandemic. It goes without saying, we're all in this together.

While we all wish we were cruising, we do have some options for you; including an option that's been very well-received by our guests, as it provides a little something extra to use once we all start cruising again! Here are your options:

  1. 125% Future Cruise Credit: We're providing you with a 125% Future Cruise Credit to book and cruise by October 31st, 2022.
    1. This amount is based on your total cruise fare paid, and we're giving you a little extra knowing that this is such a unique circumstance.
    2. We understand you may want to book a similar Hawaii or Transpacific sailing for around the same time next year - that's why we're extending the time allowed to redeem your cruise credit, for these two sailings only.
    3. Similar 2022 Hawaii and Transpacific sailings will open for sale in the coming months-we'll advise you as soon as they open, so you can rebook using your credit.
    4. Alternatively, your certificate can be used on any Royal Caribbean International sailing that departs on or before October 31st, 2022, giving you even more flexibility to choose a sailing that's right for you!
    5. We'll automatically send your Future Cruise Credit via email by February 19th, 2021, so there's nothing for you to do!
    6. Taxes & fees and any RoyalUp upgrades will be automatically refunded. Current refund processing is around 45 days. We are working as quickly as possible, and we appreciate your patience.
    7. Please note:
      1. If you opted into the Cruise with Confidence 100% Future Cruise Credit, this offer does not apply.
      2. And, if you previously used a Future Cruise Credit (including previous Global Suspension FCCs), you'll receive a new Future Cruise Credit. This will be for 125% of any new monies paid on this sailing, plus the value of your original credit at 100% of its value, with an expiration and sail by date of October 31st, 2022.
      3. If you were already impacted by a sailing that was previously cancelled due to a global suspension and paid additional monies on a new booking within this extended suspension period, you are still able to opt in to refund one or both cancelled bookings via the process below.

Please Note: In order to comply with the CDC's (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) Conditional Sailing Order, we can no longer offer itineraries more than 7-nights that call upon a U.S. port departing through November 1st, 2021. As a result, we're unable to offer the option for Quantum of the Seas guests to redeem their FCC or "Lift and Shift" across to a similar 2021 itinerary.

  1. 100% Refund: Or, if you prefer a full refund, which is a lower value than the future cruise credit offer above, we're happy to process this for you. Given how fluid this situation is, and the opportunity to use the extra credit being offered, you have until March 31st, 2021 to request a refund and deactivate your certificate.
    1. Please contact us to start the refund process, forfeiting the higher value of your 125% Future Cruise Credit.
      1. To avoid waiting on the phone to cancel, click here and we will get the refund process started for you. Note: Please know, once we receive your refund request, we unfortunately won't be able to accept an FCC request if you change your mind.
    2. We'll then deactivate your Future Cruise Credit and process your refund to your original form(s) of payment, which will include any non-refundable deposits.
    3. You can expect to receive your refund 45 days after you submit your refund request.
    4. Please note: If you used a Cruise with Confidence certificate on this sailing, and you request a refund instead, we'll refund any NEW funds paid above the certificate amount, and we'll reinstate your original Cruise with Confidence certificate.

And, a special option for those that also purchased Cruise Planner Items...

  1. You can opt-in to receive an Onboard Credit in the value of 125% of the total Cruise Planner purchases on your reservation.
    1. Click here by February 4th, 2021 to request your higher value credit, and we'll email you your credit by February 19th, 2021.
  2. If we don't hear from you on or before February 4th, 2021, your Cruise Planner purchases will be automatically refunded. You'll receive your refund within 45 days of your booking's cancellation. We are working as quickly as possible and appreciate your patience during these unprecedented times.
  3. Also, if you opt for a cruise fare refund, you are not eligible for this Cruise Planner Onboard Credit offer.
  4. Questions about how the Cruise Planner credit works? Click here for more details.

Guests with air or hotel booked...

  1. Refundable and non-refundable air or hotel accommodations purchased through Royal Caribbean will be automatically refunded to you within 45 days after we process the cancellation.
  2. If you booked air on your own, please contact the service provider directly for your options with them.

If you have any questions, please contact your Travel Advisor immediately or contact us at:

  1. 1800 754 500 in Australia
  2. 0344 493 4005 in the U.K.
  3. 1 866 562 7625 in the U.S. or Canada
  4. All other countries, please visit http://www.royalcaribbean.com/contactus for your local Royal Caribbean International office phone number.

We appreciate your patience, understanding, and continued loyalty. We will all come out of this stronger than ever. Stay healthy and safe. We miss you, and we look forward to welcoming you back soon.
