Another ship sold under the Carnival umbrella :(

So bummed... yet another of our booked cruises officially cancelled as of a few minutes ago: We had a 24 day Pacific Princess cruise booked for the Mediterranean for this September. But it's not even covid related, at least not directly - Princess has officially sold the Pacific Princess... she's a lovely ship, so I'm sad to see her go.

I understand the economics behind the selling off of ships, and expect there will likely be more in the Carnival world.  2022 is HOPEFULLY the year we will return to cruising now. *deep sigh*

There is likely to be more of this sort of thing

as cruise lines juggle their priorities -

so be ready for such surprises/annoyances.

I suspect though, that most of the juggling is behind us by now..

.

Two recent pics of another ex-Carnival ship at Alang,

awaiting the scrap heap, but notice the poor Photoshop job

on the top of the funnel..
