I get at least five a week.  Most of them are casino offers.

Some come with free drinks on us, most a reduced deposit,

two cat upgrades, etc.

Until cruising gets back to normal,

we won't even think about booking a cruise.

We certainly agree on that last bit!

Yes, reduced deposit... now down to just $50 a person.

ANYthing to get some money rolling in!

The desperation is obvious.

I get emails and am also starting to get snail mail offers from Carnival.  NCL always sends me a few mailers per year, but it has been rare to get mailers from Carnival.

I would love to book a cruise for 2022, but due to DD preexisting condition, I never book without buying insurance immediately.  And that ain't cheap 😖

I get Carnival emails advertising special discounts (spa, excursions, etc.) for my booked (rescheduled) cruises that are now only 420 and 365 days away.

Yep, I got the same emails before the original dates were cancelled by the pandemic.

I get daily emails from Carnival's Marketing. Sometimes twice daily

Most of them with pleasant-enough graphics!

so I don't unsubscribe.

Do you get them too??

They are a very desperate company trying to get as much money as they can from their very best customers.  Many of them post on these boards.

I’ve been on 32 Carnival cruises and never get emails. I’m the one who does all the planning, making the reservations, etc. my husband is the one who gets all the emails, usually 3 a week. He just hands his phone to me! I always check the box to send me emails, but never get anything.  Guess they know they have my number, lol

Yes - I'm getting on average 2-3 a day.  Some are offers to be applied to new bookings; others are "your cruise needs your attention" to get me to make a payment on cruises that are 10 months and 22 months away. But I'm getting absolutely nothing from PCL re: my May cruise.

Make a reservation for a cruise in May or June.  Once they cancel you will then be eligible for 600 in OBC.  Does that  fire you up?

With the uncertainty of the industry and then the proposed restrictive protocols for when or IF cruising resumes?.....no.    Not to mention that the raised cost of cruises when or IF they resume, will be far out of the reach of what $600 can cover.      BTW.......Norwegian has cancelled all of their May 2021 sailings, I;m sure Carnival will follow shortly.

They are so screwed up in their marketing department.  I received similar email promotions on Fri 2/7 and Sat 2/13, with the headlines promoting Cheers and when I clicked through to my offers section of my VIFP account, there was no mention of any Cheers promotion at all.  I had gotten the stupid RU9 code back in December and January and then the LU1 code about WiFi, which means nothing to me since I unplug while on vacation.

I called into Carnival on Monday, spoke to a CSR and he said he would talk to a supervisor about it and someone in their marketing department and get back to me.  Two days later he finally did and said that the marketing department apologized for their mistake but they would be happy to honor the Cheers promotion for me....a RU9 code.  I then educated him that it was a joke and if they offered me a RU1, 2 or 3 I would contemplate making another booking, but not with the ridiculous RU9.  I then let him know that more than likely Carnival would be in my rear view mirror even though  I am getting ready to retire and my vacations per year will be increasing.  If this is how they wish to treat Platinum members, it's OK.  Their marketing department is more concerned with the blues and reds.

Just like Carnival is in my rear view mirror soon, I am already in the rear view mirror of their marketing department.
