Naples part 2: An overnight stay after we arrived late afternoon so we went out for pre-dinner drinks and watched a stunning display by hundreds of starlings. Next day we caught the ferry to Sorrento where I enjoyed a fabulous pasta meal made from bike tyre inner tubes (kidding - it really was lovely) before the day's excertions (and possibly a boatload of lunchtime wine) caught up with one member of our party who had a good snooze on the ferry back.

This is Naples in 2013 it was a bit run down  and quite dirty but ever so interesting.
Bar Nilo is a shrine to the footballer Maradona and the signage on

the station one of the most confusing I have  ever come across.

Fantastic selection of photos.

We have sailed into Naples several times.

The traffic is scary but once you get to the centre up the hill it is fine.

We have walked up lots of the side streets behind the main shopping street and bought some fabulous photo frames as well as other niknaks.

The motor scooters zoom around here but a lot of people live up here.

Graham.

A couple of rest days on the ship for me. Not been to Ajaccio or Valencia.

Look forward to seeing the photos.

Ajaccio birthplace of Napoleon is a pretty place.

Ajaccio looks lovely and we would live to visit sometime. Although we haven't been to Ajaccio, we have been to Propriano, Corsica, on a Thomson cruise in 2010 and thought it was very pretty. I could only find these 2 pictures..DSCN0853.thumb.JPG.06796f85141da1ed66fafb37e2e04037.JPG

Can I ask, how do you insert a gap between your photos?

Hi Ardennais, I insert all the photographs first and then scroll up to the bottom of the first photo where I click on the right side and then press my enter key twice. I then move my cursor down to the bottom of the next picture and repeat clicking the enter key.

Sometimes I insert one picture and then click on the bottom corner twice to create a gap before either typing in a comment or inserting the next picture.

Sorry if this isn't very clear but it's easy to do once you know how but tricky to explain the process .🤔

We love Corsica too. The pictures of the market put a smile on my face. It's our last stop on the way back to the ship, and we never leave without a bag or two of their delicious soft nougat.😋

Never tried that, we usually buy nuts. Just as bad for the teeth.

If you go back any time give it a try. It's nothing like the hard horrid stuff we get here. They have different varieties and flavours, they will let you sample them first and it's so soft they cut pieces off for you with scissors.

I sometimes do that, you can also  do it by using Choose files

at the bottom of the post.  This then puts  thumbnails of the pics

at the bottom of the post.

I then click on the  +  bottom left of the thumbnail  ( this inserts the pic into the post ).  I then press enter twice  which inserts  2 lines below.   repeat.

Maybe try with 3 or 4 pics and see what it looks like  - you can always

edit and  add more to that post if it  is working ok.

Or you can  load all then preview it  then go back to edit any error before posting

Was that the cruise on Aurora?

Yes it was. The one that had the “interesting” experience in Civitavecchia! We were confined onboard that day watching the tugs holding her against the dock.

Thank you.I had forgotten about diverting to Ajaccio from Propiano. We were unable to get back onboard at Civitacchia for several hours- quite exciting!
