I see that the prices shown in the spreadsheet include drinks, wifi and gratuities. The taxes are listed separately in the right hand column so I suspect they are added to the prices shown.

If you want the Princess Savers fare (without the drinks, wifi & gratuities), subtract $40 USD per day.

Sorry, I cannot answer that question. Does the pricing have a note that says fees and taxes are extra? If the cruise is a trans-Pacific, the on-board currency is usually USD and the US protocol on gratuities applies.

On Australian cruises, the auto-gratuity is included in the price of drinks making them look much more expensive than on other ships, but when I have done the calculation, it evens out.

On Princess the gratuity for the drink package is always included in the price. The spreadsheet for USD fares includes gratuities , drink package with gratuities , specialty dining , location upgrade and wifi .

In my post that you quoted I said "On Australian cruises, the auto-gratuity is included in the price of drinks making them look much more expensive than on other ships, but when I have done the calculation, it evens out." I did not refer to the drinks package but to the cost of drinks bought singly. Because there is no auto-gratuity on Australian-based cruises, of course the gratuity is included even in the drinks package.

That’s only for cruises sold in Australia and New Zealand. If I buy in the US , Canada  and Mexico , gratuities are separate from the drink package. If you look at the both of the US Dollar spreadsheet. It says Gratuities , premier drink package and Wi-Fi are included. We can also buy without them.

This thread is about the 2022-2023 Australia/New Zealand cruise itineraries. If someone from the US or UK books on one of these cruises, gratuities will be charged on a daily basis. However, no passengers on these cruises pay the auto gratuity on drinks. The price on the drinks menu is what you pay but it has been calculated to include the gratuity.

Not for the fall 2021 to spring 2022 seasons. Possible for 2022/23, but not very likely with the reduced fleet.

HAL is offering a 45 day “Tales of the South Pacific” in fall 2022 and a 35 day “Hawaii & Tahiti” in spring 2023 - both round trip San Diego on Zuiderdam.

Thank you for responding. HAL is possible, but I would love to do it on Princess. I understand the reduced fleet will affect things.

The Gratuities in this sentence refers to the daily hotel charge which mainly goes to cabin stewards and food service personnel. It does not refer to beverage gratuities which are included in the drink package.

Actually HAL has a greatly reduced fleet (30%) with only one new ship coming out. They sold four ships last year with only two replacements.

But the replacements are larger, so the total number of berths may be about the same. (I have not run the actual numbers.)

The 30% is from HAL.  It doesn’t really matter how many berths. They still don’t have enough ships to do all their normal cruise areas.

Agree.

It is the same with Princess. Princess said when the sale of the Pacific Princess was announced "While it’s difficult to say goodbye to our 'Love Boat,' our World Cruise and exotic itineraries continue onboard our Medallion Class-enabled Island Princess and Coral Princess".

But the unique itineraries that the Pacific Princess had no longer exist for any Princess ship, even the two mentioned.

And by the way, the definition of "exotic" is basically "foreign." Every cruise on Princess has an exotic itinerary as every one involves at least two countries.

The word "exotic" does mean "out of" or "foreign", but for Princess it is an area of the world away from the US.

I’m not sure what’s going on with Princess, but Elites did not get a notice or chance to book a day early. My TA tried all day to put a hold on the cabin we wanted, but the system would not let her. Got one booked tonight, but not the way it’s supposed to work.

I received my E-mail notice at 6:41 PM CST, a little late to contact my TA.

Princess was having IT issues all day long on Monday. Their travel agent booking site was constantly crashing. I spent over two & a half hours on hold, with threee disconnects, to try and book a casino offer before giving up and telling the client I’d make her top priority when I came into the office Tuesday.

Celebrity and Royal were having phone issues on Monday as well. It was just a bad start to the month - LOL

We did receive emails leading up to today for Elite members and received one today as well. Thinking 🤔 of booking the same PNG cruise we have in November 2021/January 2022 and moving as a backup for the same months in 2022/2023. Hubby isn’t too keen to book and payout more money until we know more .... think it’s more wait and see what happens for 2021/2022 cruises first. Doesn’t matter what time of year I pick as PNG is always HOT 🥵. Bonus is we can depart from Brisbane .... 30 minutes from our front door.

I still haven’t gotten my Princess email, but knew the cruises were opening up thanks to this message board. My TA was almost in tears she was so frustrated, but I have a second choice cabin and a bucket list cruise to look forward to.

OP - thank you so much for this thread!  We never received an email from Princess announcing the itineraries.  Luckily based on the information in this thread I contacted my TA last week and asked her to book 4 cabins (siblings and spouses cruise) on the April Round Austria cruise on the day it opened.  We are the only ones with elite status but she was able to book all of them yesterday (I was worried that everyone else would have to wait until it opened to all to book).  I checked this morning and interiors, minis and full suites are sold out and, at this time, not even taking guarantees!  I know holds will drop off and in two years many people may have a change of plans but we are all so relieved to have booked yesterday.
