life jackets on canal boats?

Hi,

As I start to research for a - hopefully! - upcoming cruise, I see there are a variety of canal boats doing tours in Costa Rica.  I assume there are a variety of sizes of boats, but I'm really wondering about, for each boat,  the availability of good, working life jackets for ALL passengers.

Can anyone help me with this?  That would be much appreciated!

Every boat I've been on doing wildlife watching cruises in Costa Rica has had life jackets.
