casofilia Posted March 8, 2021 #1 Posted March 8, 2021 Hello Fellow Spirit cruisers. About this time 12 months ago today the Spirit turned 90 degrees to port on its way to the Seychelles. That was the first we really knew that there was a real PROBLEM. That became 12 days of unexpected days at sea and finally the rush to exit South Africa. What an "experience"!!! I hope everyone is now over it and looking forward to using the discounts we finally received. All the best Mike & Pauline
caneable Posted March 11, 2021 #3 Posted March 11, 2021 It was only yesterday that I was recalling the humongous queue on the stair well to get through the casino. All so that we could have a temperature check for the ship to handover to local authorities so that we could get ashore. It certainly was an experience. Mind you, I did realise that actually, I could come to terms with non stop days at sea on a Transatlantic cruise. Anyway we’ve plunged our rewards into the return leg, Cape Town to Dubai late January 22 so that we can catch up on what me missed. Snagged a nice aft facing cabin courtesy of the 75% FCC.
