Cancellation policy--if I cancel (re: airfare)

OK, we are looking at family Med cruise either August 2022 or August 2023.

I was considering booking both on the off chance that 2022 isn't a go.

I have successfully cancelled cruises before the cut off date for a full refund with no issues with other lines.

But I must admit the stories here have me concerned.

I read thru the cancellation policies & my biggest concern is NCL Air--we are saving several thousand to book through them.

If we cancel before 90 days out (7 day) or 120 days out (10 day), will we get a full refund including air? Or is air a separate issue after final payment?

(HONESTLY we are most likely to cancel before the final payment is due so we would only be getting our deposit back)

I also see a note in the policy that the cancellation request must be done in writing--is an email sufficient?

Likely would just book 2023 just to be safe if there could be issues...

Thanks for all your expertise!

It all depends on if and when the airline tickets are issued and the fare rules of the fare purchased.  Once the tickets are issued, airline rules apply and not NCL rules.

If you're talking about the promo airfare that's being offered.  As long as you're before final payment (which is before the flights are ticketed) you should be due for a full refund including airfare...
